Turbo arrived today to my surprise, looks like car will be fixed quicker then expected

Dealer agreed to replace the turbo on my 07 CX-7 this morning. They changed the oil to 5W-40 and it still smoked, they needed to send pics of it smoking as well as under the valve covers to the Mazda HQ before authorizing. Turbo is on order now should be fixed in a week or so. Good advise...

I think both are good deals, the GT might be a bit better, because if the Turbo was replaced then it probably wont smoke.

Yep mine is a Touring AWD, have not had it in Snow yet, but very sure footed in heavy rain and stuff.

I bought a 07 CX-7 with 10k miles on it a few months ago. I love the car, its fun to to drive with all the utility you need. My only complaint right now is the smoking turbo, not sure if youre buying from a dealer but, idle the car for about 10 mins and see if she smokes, have that fixed first...

This is true, and I still have the Mazda Filter on it :) Ya by all means I will have to follow what they want to try, but I will be pressing them to change the Turbo, understanding its expensive for them and the last thing they want to do heh.

I am not going to be happy with just changing the oil to 5w-40 i dont think that will solve the problem. The only thing that has me a tad worried is I do have a screw on oil filter adapter on the car. I dont want to hear warranty crap about that heh

Looks like this might even be PCV related somehow. I am going to take my CX-7 in next monday. I have 15k miles on it and it smoke heh, we will see what they say.

Anyone use the conversion kit from street unit? I installed this last week, and it seems to be weeping a bit from the coolant housing I think. Not terrible but enough where after a week it was pretty wet under there. Anyone run across this? Seems a little strange there is no gasket between the...

Hey all, Just bought a 2007 Black Cherry CX-7 with 10k miles on it. I love the car so far, very quick and stylish. Just gonna poke around and see whats available for these cars and what you guys do with em. Any comments or suggestions let me know.
