Mazda has gone CHEAP for 2010+ CX-9 so you are right they are simply two pieces of red lens without bulbs/wiring/LED whatsoever. 2007~2009 CX-9 has bulbs (not LED) in them as running lights. But at least you get a better/brighter LED tail/brake lights for 2010+. The LED pixels inside pre-2010...

These Chinese made CX-9 navigation units are best for the base CX-9 model and if you are willing to sacrifice some factory functionalities and high risk of failures, go for it! I did it on my CX-9 GT and I wish I had never made that mistake...

That looks nice from such a small picture... I wonder about the material since for $100 it's not too expensive for third row up/fold/split function. Currently I have the Op's cargo mate with entire third row folded. I cut it to three pieces for the third row up/fold/split use.
