my msp vs my brother new wrx 02

Easy there egghead, I am not trying to fight with you, just debate some points. Don't get too defensive with me...no reason. Most auto's are slower because they have less gears, thus taller gearing, which equals slower acceleration. And yes, the AWD acts like traction control, and also...

my msp vs my brother new wrx 02

One great thing about AWD is, if you can launch, not many cars can get enough traction to hang with you through 2nd gear. The WRX has taller gears so that is why it's mid range isn't super snappy. The boost on my 2002 WRX actually starts to come around 2750, and is in full song at around 3100...

Stock WRX is not fast? It runs low 14's stock.

my msp vs my brother new wrx 02

Funny thing is most of the comments are probably from those who haven't driven both. Just about any other AWD can't be launched by reving and dumping the clutch, except the STI. When you get a launch right with some crafty clutch slippage you will feel like someone launched you from a rocket...

    MSP vs SRT-4?

The 04 SRT4 has a factory LSD, and with Energy endlinks and a simple set of Eibach springs with a mild - camber setting, the SRT4 would have no problem handling as well as the MSP. I wonder if people actually read the reviews and realize how close the MSP, SPecV, and SRT really are in handling...

    MSP vs SRT-4?

There seems to be a few chickenshit computer nerds that feel the need to insult even our wives to try to make their pathetic little lives more meaningful. The next one gets banned, that is my vote.

    MSP vs SRT-4?

Re: Re: Re: Oh my... Ah, alas your insults keep coming. My title states I am an automotive enthusiast, I was doing a pretty good job of challenging your SRT4 comments. And yes, I bought the WRX becuase I know that in 5-7 yrs it will be just as strong and flawless.

    MSP vs SRT-4?

Re: Oh my... I'm Baaaack! You know my opinion, the SRT4 won't be ***** in handling and could be easily made to handle as well as the MSP. That said, try them both out and see what you like driving around better. Buy the car you want and don't settle, that's what I just did for my new car.

    Interesting enough...

After waiting forever for the SRT4 and testing a lot of other cars.....I pick my slightly used (35 000 km's) 2002 White WRX sedan on sunday. The MSP was a contender for awhile but I trust the Subaru as far as longevity goes, more so than other cars in it's class, especially when driven hard...

    Where's Buster??!! I miss him.

Oh, I am never far away. I met a MS owner here last Friday night, nice guy, I think he is the only one with the matching eyelids, lip and window spoiler in spicy orange. I can't remember now but I think it is Gyrospeed.

    Tour de France

Alp d'huez sunday morning. Lance is going to give it all, he has said that that stage is important to the winner of the tour, and to him personally.

traded in my Mazdaspeed for an SRT

I am curious as I am still learning about the MSP motor, but it doesn't seem to me that the stock block will take 17psi, even with proper fuel tuning....at least not for long. Wouldn't you be running on the edge constantly?
