Reviving an old thread, cuz mine just started blinking yesterday. When you said "bought a pair of version B", did you buy the pair removed from the same car, sold together as a pair? Or, did you make a LH and a RH side one from different vehicles work together? I'm just curious if they have to...

This thread is still alive! I posted back in Nov. 2011 (post# 16), and complained about 2 issues in the 2 years I've owned my 2008 CX9 GT. But, 10 years later... I still own the car, and have not had any other problems.

How was yours lowered? Springs? If so which ones? Thanks.

I thought autolocking of doors is programmable? I opted to have mine not to autolock, as I can't stand it. One thing I really wish for my CX9 is better gas mileage. I'd be happy if I averaged 19-20mpg combo hwy/city. Currently, I only average 16ish mpg.

No clue how, but rust bubbles were there. The service manager had 1 look and said he'd order me a new wheel under warranty, no fuss.

We've had our 2008 Cx9 GT since February of 2009. In that span, we've put over 31k kilometers on the car. Up to date, it's been back to the dealer twice for warranty repairs. The first one was a biggie, at about 1 year, it started leaking coolant, so the water pump was replaced. The 2nd time...

if it's a flat vinyl decal, then just heat it up with a hair blow drier, and pick at a corner and lift.

I have not been paying attention to the weight of the load I put in the box. The OE side rails are pretty sturdy. The 100 lbs. limit is most likely due to the OE crossbars. The whispbars I have on the rails are rated at over 200 lbs. So I'm not too concerned.

Interestingly, on my 2 year old CX9, the front tires are more worn on the inside compared to the outside edges, and the rears are wearing out fairly evenly. It's possible there is more negative camber dialed in on my front suspension. Needless to say, it's time to rotate them wheels/tires.

I average 16mpg w/ combination city and hwy driving. The best I've done in the CX9 is on a recent roadtrip to California, we got 20mpg with a cargo box on the roof.

If you don't have crossbars (and I suppose a cargo box as well), where would you put your luggage? Directly on the roof, then tie them to the side rails? I guess you could do that if you were so inclined, but that would risk damage to your roof and your luggage flying away, no?

I think it's the OE crossbars that are rated at 100lbs. The OE roof rails seem plenty sturdy.

I recently had an opportunity to ride in the 3rd row seat of our Cx9 with my son in his high back booster beside me. Lots of room back there for me. I'm about 5'6", 140lbs. The trip took about an hour and I was actually quite comfortable back there.

Pearl white for sure! But, I'm a little biased. In my opinion though black cars are usually harder to keep looking good. Swirls and light scratches on the clear coat are usually more apparent, whereas they are less visible in light coloured cars.
