4 months with the 5, and I have a few gripes...

No, not quite what I was after in my first post, but I can see how that would be annoying too. At least we can turn off the AC when defogger is selected though; in our '02 CR-V you couldn't do that. As for the taillights, my guess is a bad seal between the light assembly and the body. Hondas...

    Mazda5 Snow Day Pics

Because my good cars are in the garage, and it doesn't snow here often enough for it to be an issue.

4 months with the 5, and I have a few gripes...

    1. Thanks...I think we can live with this one, it's just annoying is all. 2. Going in for the first oil change soon so I'll get them to replace the tails. 3. That is really really dumb...if we just wanted some air in the back we could have cracked the windows. A little heat in the winter and...

4 months with the 5, and I have a few gripes...

Bought a new 2008 5 in Sept of last year, and overall it's been a nice car (though not as fun as the Forester it replaced (drive). We've put just over 2000 miles on it so far, and I'm noticing a couple problems with it. 1. Selecting "Auto" on the HVAC panel only allows the defrost/footwell...

    Mazda5 Snow Day Pics

Late to the thread, but oh well..the 5 is pretty useless in snow/ice, so we just parked it for the week that we had snow here: We did end up with an amusing "antenna skeleton" as the snow melted off the roof of the 5:

    Touring or GT advantages?

I still don't know how you found a Touring with a manual trans. It's not even listed as an option.

    War on morons

Yes, you can pump your own diesel. Flash point is high enough that by law you're allowed to do it yourself, but most station owners still freak out when I try filling up my F250 here. Once they realize I have 85 gallons to pump they usually let me do it myself (eekfu). The law is bulls*** but...

    Touring or GT advantages?

I can't stand plastic steering wheels, plain and simple. I had to have leather. The moonroof is nice but it rains 2/3 of the year here, so it's only good for letting in a little more light most of the time. LED tails and rear spoiler were nice touches too, but is it worth that much more over...

Mazda5 owners, the other rides (current and past)

It's jeebus! How you been man, fancy meeting you here...I bought your Cobb AP for the 2006 FXT last year when you went to a custom tune. So yeah....we found out we were having a second kid earlier this year, so we sold the FXT since it can't accomodate 2 rear-facing seats and 2 adults. Ended...
