    Replace rear trailing arm?

My right rear trailing arm is bent and needs to be replaced. Apparently the part is only about $60 but the labor to replace it at a dealer will be about $200. Is it difficult to DIY replace a trailing arm (and then get an alignment at a shop) or is this something that should be done at a shop...

Thanks! So the formula 5 prelube is the best option or should I go with marine grease or amsoil synthetic water resistant? Is there a consensus best grease?

Proper bushings and grease for use with clunk fix

Title says it all - could anyone please tell me the name/size or model # of the bushings that should be used with the axr clunk fix kit? Also could you please recommend the best grease to use?

Clunk/Rubbing Noise from Rear - have fix kit already

Ahhh I don't know if it's these awful Michigan roads or what, but it seems like I never stop having suspension problems. I replaced both rear strut mounts a couple months ago and it 100% solved my awful rubber stretching/rubbing noise that happened with any movement of the suspension (including...

    Did I get ripped off?

I was thinking about possibly doing it with some friends, but the mechanic said the tool he used to compress the coil while changing the mount cost $600, so I didn't think I would be able to do something like that. So you're saying it's perfectly legitimate for a shop to claim a part cost...

    Did I get ripped off?

A friend of mine recommended me a local mechanic who does a lot of business and has a personal relationship with his father. His father met me at the mechanic and specifically told the mechanic to treat me fairly and give me a good deal. I went into the mechanic on two seperate days and had the...

Clunk/Rubbing Noise from Rear - have fix kit already

When you say do both, do you mean replace both endlinks in the rear? The mazda parts guy was thinking it might be popping out of place because it's missing a nut? Because I'm only having this problem with the endlink popping out of place on the right rear.

Clunk/Rubbing Noise from Rear - have fix kit already

I took the car into a shop today and got my strut bearing/top mount replaced. It fixed the creaking noise :) I pulled the car out, and was noticing that I still had a clunk though. I went and looked under the car and found that the endlink was connected to the swaybar but the other end was not...

Clunk/Rubbing Noise from Rear - have fix kit already

So are the strut tops just the top mounts or does it mean replacing the entire strut? I assumed the mounts wouldn't be very expensive. I've been hearing that the end links would make more of a clunk noise while this is a kinda crunch/stretch noise. Can strut tops cause this kind of noise?

Clunk/Rubbing Noise from Rear - have fix kit already

I took the car in to the dealer today and just got off the phone with them. Apparently they think it's the strut tops causing all the noise. Does anyone have any idea how much those will likely cost?

Clunk/Rubbing Noise from Rear - have fix kit already

I had the endlinks checked by a couple mechanics and they said they were good. Also, it was still making the noise immediately after greasing them with valvoline synpower synthetic lithium. I really don't think it's the bushings, unless it's the fact that I used 19mm bushings. I think I've...

Clunk/Rubbing Noise from Rear - have fix kit already

Hello, Thanks in advance for your help. I've got a nagging problem. It's more than a clunk. It's sounds kind of like a REALLY loud rubbing noise. It seems like it's almost always making the noise on any road that isn't perfectly flat like a highway. Any tiny bump or distortion in the road...

Trying to grease bushings - Need quick advice!

Someone checked out my endlinks and said they were fine. Do you guys think replacing the bushings would fix the problem? Anyone know the part # of the bushings that come with the clunk fix bracket?

Trying to grease bushings - Need quick advice!

I ended up buying a right angle adapter and used Valvoline Synpower. It's synthetic lithium complex grease. I injected grease into the fitting until I saw grease coming out of the side of the bushing. I still have the clunk. I wonder if it's because my bushings are shot or something else?

Loud rotating scraping noise from rear?

For the past month or so, I've had a clunk in the rear which I attributed to needing to regrease the bushings (I have AXR kit). I am greasing them today, but all of a sudden today a whole new sound is showing up. It sounds like metal scraping on metal and it sounds like it is rotating. I can...

Trying to grease bushings - Need quick advice!

Hi, I'm kind of a noob to mechanical stuff so this question is probably pretty pathetic to most of you. Anyways, I have a MSP with the AXR clunk fix kit. There was no clunk for several months but I've been getting a clunk for the past month or so and it's pretty bad now. I have a couple...

    Possible Clutch/Transmission problems

Will this work http://www.autocom.com/servlet/the-103039/KMZ08%20by%20Exedy%20-%20%20%20/Detail or do I need to have a Mazda dealer replace it?

    Possible Clutch/Transmission problems

Hey all - I've been lurking since I got my MSP but seem to be having some trouble now :( First let me say that when I try to shift into reverse, sometimes I have a hard time and it feels like it just won't change gears, so I have to let go of the clutch and then push it in again and then it'll...
