    If you know the bearing is bad I wouldn't wait until it completely goes before changing it. Then you'll end up with an overheated engine and warped head.

    I'm developing what seems to be a misfire "pop" when I release the accelerator pedal. Like I said, #1 was the most flooded. Is it possible I blew a piston ring? There for not allowing all the fuel to combust in turn having the second o2 sensor read to much unburned fuel?

    I can completely block the air from entering the intake box, but it's still runs after bogging for a split second. It sounds like air is being sucked in from behind the i/m somewhere.

    It came back on today. It seems to come back on after about 30 miles of driving. It seems to start guzzling fuel like a champ too whenever it comes back on. I read elsewhere that somebody who had this code (P0420) had a blown i/m gasket. How would I know if that's the case?

    I just ran across this link. That was the exact code. Why can't I just change the secondary o2 sensor? I think I'll check the sensor at the pre cat first since that's closest to where the water was.

    My light came back on again today (driving fine) so I had it checked. Basically it said my cat isn't working right. When I changed the plugs I again reset the light. Would I be safe to assume it's just water working through and it'll be fine?

    Is that fuse the 30A labeled INJ OR FIP at the front of the fuse box under the hood? I don't have any sort of owner's manual or book.

    Crap! I was able to clear the code by disconnecting the battery. At the same time I disconnected the MAF. I took it for a quick drive and it was choking pretty bad. When I parked it stalled.

    I did a bit of hydroplaning tonight and immediately my CEL started flashing, then went solid, then back to flashing. It's running like dog poop. All 4 cylinders seem to be firing. Only "mod" is the intake piping is removed up to the air box. Any suggestions? TIA
