well first of all, it was a really loud sound. i mean it sounded bad like a bad rod bearing. but i did open the valve cover to see if there was anything wrong. but i didnt see anything unusual. then put it back together, started it still was the same. didnt drive it for a week or 2..then...

oh and on top of that everytime it clicks or kocks like that my idle goes down..?? anyone know?

well i mean. i found a couple mazda speed motors here...running for 800-900 in goo condtion. i got a shop who does sawps soo i aint trippin too much..

i took the valve cover off...lifters look fine... now im beginning to believe it is the rod bearings... and changing the rod bearings i would have to the block out of the car... right?

i use to live in hawaii... i was the red pro 5 in rated r. but other then that homie...i dont think its blown. my engine starts theirs no engine check lights on... and it only started to do that after i washed my car....it was all fine. i rebuilt the trans and everything it was sooo good...

Alrght. I Have an 02 Pro5 5spd. i was wondering. could you use any 5spd tranny thats within the 3rd generation protege5's to be put on my motor. or does the production date really makes a big diffrence with transmission you need to put on my car?

heres my adivce.. check your oil...see if its dirty. air filter see if its clogged your spark plugs and gice it some lucas fuel injector cleaner...if you dont believe it works. go to the gas station after ur car is empty filler up with 01 octan gas or 89 and see if it works
