    Should I sell my baby??

If you would blow the cash then keep the car it is fun. However, if your 401k or Roth IRA isn't fully funded then I would sell the car and fund them. If they're funded you might open an investment account with a mutual fund company. Fidelity and Vanguard are two good ones. Mike

    Warranty Safe Mods

I asked service at the dealership, Hine in Temecula CA, about mods and they said anything they installed was covered. Didn't ask if that transferred to other dealerships. Mike

    cop magnet?

While the US has more laws than any other country it is unlikely that there is a law against car color discrimination. I think the registration number spells out color so an insurance agent wouldn't necessarily need to ask. snopes.com says the red color probably does not receive more tickets...

    MS3 Gas milage?

My MS3 achieves 28 mpg (fill up method) when I drive it like an econo box. It gets 21-22 mpg when exercising my testosterone and 25 when having a little fun. Don't know if it matters but I have the slowest ms3, blue. Mike

ok, the "new-ness" of my MS3 expired quickly.

Re: SerialtoonHumorous post For the record in case you weren't being funny, you and I are the lucky ones because we can afford rising prices. Prices rising and falling is a way better experience than shortages and/or rationing. Do you know of a third alternative? I don't. As to the South...

ok, the "new-ness" of my MS3 expired quickly.

I truly don't know. As to reading, I'll site only a couple of references as to not be too boring. Recently the Wall Street Journal reported known oil reserves are not as robust as previously thought. Which means more drilling, which means more cost to produce which means higher prices to...

ok, the "new-ness" of my MS3 expired quickly.

If you think gas prices are too high you might heed Kain's advice and change your life. Most of what I've been reading says we're going to $6.00 dollars on a bullet and if the govt step's in expect $10.00 a gallon sooner rather than later. My friend a notorious liar owns a Priass. Claims he...

Ac Taking To Long To Cool Down

Ac I've not noticed an A/C issue but I have noticed that the fresh air coming into the car is very warm after a few minutes of operation. It is noticeably warmer than any other car I've owned. Before the MS3 I could go most of the year with very limited A/C use. Now I use it most days when I...

    MS3 to S2000?

I can appreciate your case of the figits as it seems you've done all of the straight forward mods but it seems kinda dippy to ask about Honda on a Mazda forum particularly a forum that bills itself as Mazda 24/7. To complain about responses to a Honda question on a Mazda forum is bordering on...

    amazing gas milage

Mileage vs Smileage Don't let mileage get in the way of smileage...it is a Speed 3 after all. I'm old so occasionally for fun I like to see how many miles to the gallon. The top so far is 28. Here are the facts concerning mileage, 15,000 miles @ 30 miles to gallon with $5.00 per gallon gas...

    cheapest gas in your area....

High prices 91 octane is $4.87 by my house. 'Mdavis' the ad is BS. California reformulates their fuel not for more power but for the characteristics of the exhaust. I haven't checked lately however, a few years ago I would get better mileage out of CA probably because there was more fuel...

    CX-9 "a real head banger"

Bang I too occasionally hit my head climbing into the CX9 passenger seat and don't understand why. I don't hit my head in either back seat. Go figure. Wife doesn't have a problem. Mike

Input wanted: Is $2300 worth 15K miles?

Not enough When you buy a new CX-9 drive it for 15,000 miles. Stop back by and and ask them to take it back. Do you think they will do it for $5,000 less? $10,000 less? If you decide to put off your purchase PM me and I will sell you mine at 15,000 for less than they are talking to you...

    Mile Per Gallon!!!!

Oh, I like acceleration and speed. It is fun to take jaunts to NV and AZ. Those states have been less finicky about speed. Soon the travel season starts. Earlier, I asked about premium because I know a number of people who use regular in their premium recommended cars. Erroneously thinking...

    Mile Per Gallon!!!!

Gas Mileage I use the fill-up method. I reset the trip odometer and I always fill-up. It is not completely accurate on a tank-to-tank basis but the average overtime is pretty good. I'm quitting my current job so I won't have that consistency any longer. I am somewhat of a mileage geek in...

    Mile Per Gallon!!!!

I have a Speed3 and a CX-9 and I'm quite happy with the gas mileage on both. Do you use premium fuel? The Speed3 gets 27-28 mpg on my daily work run. The previous car was a hatchback Ford Focus that did 30+ on the same run but this car is mucho funo. Now that mileage is mainly driving with...

    Mile Per Gallon!!!!

I'm coming up on 3,000 miles on a CX-9 front wheel drive. My worst tank was 16mpg and that was all city stop and go. The best tank was 22 on the highway 55-60 because of traffic. I am getting 18ish in normal driving with some highway and some city. This is 3-5 miles per gallon better than my...
