No, you do not have to remove the bumper at all. you just have to unscreww the fender well from the fender, you may have to remove you tire to get to it. If Anyone wants to buy a Injen CAI i have one on Ebay. here is the link...

Yeah mine had a stripped thread. The guy I bought the car from, took out the Mazda M in the middle and put in some mesh. Looks kinda cool. but he stripped out one of the holes. he told me about it and then when I looked one day it was gone dont know when i lost it. But anyway was hoping...
