    Need an Error Code Reader

I did buy the 3100 and it does work great. A good product, and my mechanic did use it for a couple of months in his garage and said it never failed to read codes on any vehicle he had in there for repair. Gary

    Need an Error Code Reader

Okay, I found this and it got some good reviews and seems to be a good deal. If no other input then I will order this tomorrow. I'll check it out and post back here when I can. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EVWDAK/?tag=m20b7-20

    Need an Error Code Reader

My 2008 is giving me a CEL and my mechanic could not read the code with his reader, says he also has problems on some Toyota's. The last time this happened under warranty it was the EGR valve. So I would like to get a code reader and check it myself. The car runs fine, and no gas cap problems...

1st. oil & filter change, some interesting observations

It has been a while since I checked out this thread. Yes I'm using M1-0W30 actually. I think it is working out very well. I'll go out to about 6K miles and change. I'll do a quick smell test and report back. I do not see the need to go more than a few thousand miles before going to an all...

Fuel/tank/gauge, MPGs, dip stick, & oil filter adapter

I'm not happy when my fuel tank gets below about half way. About the only time it does is when we are traveling(I'm driving) then I usually go to 1/4 before I refill. Obviously my wife does not feel the same way I do.

Fuel/tank/gauge, MPGs, dip stick, & oil filter adapter

More info for everybody. We just got back from a pretty fast trip in the NC mountains. About 500 miles and averaged 23 MPGs. Almost 6500 miles on the odometer, we have a FWD, and we were heavily loaded. I was happy with the MPGs. Here's a good story and it is absolutely true. My wife(I love her...

1st. oil & filter change, some interesting observations

I have been thinking about it. But I have to ask myself how ever did I get along without them(UOAs)? Forty years is a long time to be working on cars and trucks and I've never lost an engine or transmission. Some made it to over 300K miles. I was more interested in what others thought of the...

1st. oil & filter change, some interesting observations

I did my 1st. oil and filter change at 5250 miles and used M1 0W-30. I have heard good things about this oil. I did just an oil change at 2900 miles because the oil was quite dirty, but not the filter. At 2900 miles when I did the change the oil smelled like any other used oil I have ever...

    ETS 3" TMIC installed.

CajunRacer, Did it fit correctly? Does the shroud go back on correctly? The reason I ask is that some thought it would be a bit too thick. I have not purchased one yet but want to. Gary

    ETS 3" TMIC installed.

Alpha Wolf, The CPE intake goes through the fender well doesn't it? What happens in the rain or snow or extremely dirty road conditions without pavement? It sounds like a good way to get cold air but how often does the filter need to be cleaned? Can you remove the filter without taking off the...

    AprilCarandDriverLongTermTest

Pretty surprising response. We just love ours also! The transmission works just fine. It is not a sports car and wasn't meant to be. It's a sporty COV and in my opinion it's one of the best. I detect no converter slippage at all and we have achieved 27.5 MPGs on a 190 mile round trip. I also...

    rear gate interior light

Did you look at the obvious? Check the wiring connections at the base of the bulb, then the switch assembly, if nothing then you might try just replacing the bulb. I have seen filaments inside of bulbs have a loose connection so when you move the bulb one way it works and another way and it...
