Ok, I made a big mistake and replaced my cams with out being at TDC. I need some help as too markings on the cam gears. If the crank was at TDC, what should I see on the cam gears?? This is in reference to the I (Intake) and E (EXhaust) and also those small markings on the sides of the gears...

does the 2003 U.S. P5 come with the FS motor or the ZM? also can any one supply me with cam shaft istallation direction and cam gear installation direction. the web site, http://protege5.ugly.net/#ENG, does not seem to have accurate information. thanks:confused: :wtf:

Eh, the only thing that is really expensive is the gas. Everything else is just a bit more expensive, not too bad. I am on the USS Hopper (DDG-70). What are you on?

Your check engine light is probably because of the intake and your stalling could be a result of loose fitment or, like mentioned earlier, a vacuum leak.

Lol!.. yea, and staring at it scratching my head didn't do it either. I got the cams from SR Motorsports and the Adjustable Cam gears from TriPoint Engineering.

I found it.. thanks. Um, the reason I want to do it is because I put on adjustable cam gears and after fine tuning them to find the right position, my car wouldn't want to keep an idle. I know it's a timing problem, but this is a quick fix till I get everything else put in and take it in for...

I want to raise my idle up a few RPM's, but after going through a Shop manual, it looks like there is no way to do it. Is it completely controled by the computer or is there something I can do?

Hmm... how'd you get the wires throughthe boot? Isn't that plastic connector the only thing going through there, thus taking up all the space? Did you have to cut anything near that area?

So.. is there anybody else that can help with the signal wiring?

Have had them for little over a month. No backfiring and no need for fuel adjustment. They are too mild to need any real changes. You'll need a better exhaust set up to notice any real gains. OH, and intake of course...but seems like you have that covered.

Well, be ready to cut a little. I had to cut the threee plastic parts shorter that the screws go into and used the old screws from the old mirror. It was more of a headache than I thought it would be. Also had to shave off some plastic on the mirror side that connects to the door because it...
