Its your ABS sensor. Check you fluids, if its good, its for sure one of your ABS sensors, most likely something in the rear.

Is the pic shown above a mazda3 key? Sorry to bump this old thread, was looking for a new key for my 02 P5. Also, if I get the nice blue ones shown in this thread, it has to be WITHOUT Grooves, correct?

I too have the same problem! MY p5 does not like the cold temps. I replaced the stock battery to the red top, plugs to NKG, and still it stutters during start up in cold temps. At least its not just me!

Changed plugs with the recommned NGK ones and still stuttering. Its not annoying but it stutters more with colder temps and this is with a brand new red top optima too. Could it be the EVG valve?

This is really easy to install right? All you need a deep 10mm socket wrench?

Hey guys. This is my first winter with my 02 P5. I have started to notice that it stutters a bit during a cold start. Is it the temp sensor or just the plugs? I noticed that the temp stays at 0 for at least 5-10 minutes. I thought nothing of it until now.

I thought fuel injector cleaner is NOT recommended for the P5s? It clogs up the gas filter possible or some other explanation?

Hey mazda forums members, when I got my P5 it did not come with an antenna as it was stolen. The black base is still there with the gold hole in it and nothing else. I bought an antenna off ebay and the screw does not fit in the hole as the hole is not deep at all. Am I missing another piece or...
