Questions on buying a 2008 CX-9 Grand Touring

I had a 2007 GT AWD which I drove for 95K miles without any issues. Then sold it to my mother who now has 125K miles on it. Other than normal wear & tear, nothing has gone wrong on this car. Front brakes lasted 75K miles and rears 100K. Overall best car I had in the last 6 years. After the CX-9...

    New owner here

Just got out of an 07GT after 90K miles (company car lease was up). Only very minor issues in 3 years. Got a 11 Ford Edge to replace it and keep kicking myself that I did not get another CX-9. So, you got a great car. Enjoy!

Final Feedback on 2007 CX-9 Grand Touring

1.-All TSBs were completed. Car was alligned multiple time, even with help from the factory rep. Overall it did improve, but the most improvement has come from the Yokohama tires. 2.- Auto dim on the outside mirror is not an option I'm aware of. My interior mirror has auto-dim, which was an...

Final Feedback on 2007 CX-9 Grand Touring

Since this is a company car we are "strongly" encouraged to order a Ford, GM or Chrysler vehicle. So I have a 2011 Edge Limited AWD coming.

Final Feedback on 2007 CX-9 Grand Touring

I picked up a 2007 CX-9 Grand Touring as a company car in August 2007. After 85000 miles I am now ready for a new car and here is my experience with the CX-9: Configuration: AWD, Moonroof/Bose, Trailer Tow, Roof Rails, Sirrius, Pearl White Mica, Tan interior. Summary: Overall I was really...

    WIll either of these work?

I purchased my Mazda Sirius receiver off ebay ($100) and installed myself. To do it right you need to remove a bunch of stuff (including the 3rd row seat), but overall not rocket science. Took about 3 hours total.

    New CX-9 Grand Touring/Tire Concerns

Gladly replaced the Bridgestones at 29K miles. Local tire store recommended Goodyear Eagle RS-A (255/50R20). Can't comment on snow yet, but wet traction is worlds better and the car also seems to be less prone to poor tracking.

Satellite Radio Install to Factory specs

I bought the factory unit off ebay ($125) and installed myself. Did have to get the switchbox to keep AUX input alive. Installation took a few hours to do right (3rd row seat needs to be removed), but overall not so difficult. After I completed the installation I found a post wherre someone...

    Cockeyed Steering Wheel

Do you know what exactly was done? I've had mine alligned 4 times also and it still drifts to the left and it is hypersensitive to undulations in the road. Did the tires help at all? I've been told that the Bridgestones might be making the issue worse and they are terrible in the snow anyways...

Steering Problems - Am I dreaming?

Anyone have a suggestion on a tire that is more geared towards traction in wet and snowy conditions. I don't want to deal with snow tires, but still want to stop sliding all over the place in the snow. These Bridgstones are the worst I have ever driven in the snow.

Look at this compare from Nissan Murano?

Another question: What button is used to scroll throught the various trip computer variables?

Look at this compare from Nissan Murano?

Now the big question.... Can the US vehicles be updated? Also, holding the outside temp button for 2 sec. will switch between between Metric and English for temp reading.

Steering Problems - Am I dreaming?

I have a '07 AWD GT and the car has been pulling left since new. It has been alligned 3 times and now pulls less to the left, but still some. Now it seems excessively sensitive to uneven roads at low speeds (below 40 MPH) where it will pull in either direction and go from pulling left to...

    in for the 5th time

My car has been in for allignment at 3 times. The drifting left seems to be improved, but the car is now overly sensitive to road undulations which makes the car pull heavily to either side at slow speeds. The dealer says that the allignment is perfect, but having to fight the steeringconstantly...

    iPod (again)

Model number is Belkin F8V7058-APB. Lots of them on ebay. Not sure why I don't get the alternator whine. I have not tried a stand-alone charger and connection through the headphone jack. The Ipod will shut off if power is disconnected, but will not turn back on when power is re-connected. I'm...

Problem: Ipod + Aux connection + Docking cigarette power adapter = squeal

I noticed some distortion once when my daughter was playing a song at full volume. In general, the 3.5mm plug connection is not always clean either, so it could have many causes. The sound is perfectly fine at any volume that I listen at so I did not try to investigate further.

    iPod (again)

I use the Belkin Auto Adapter for Ipod. It allows you to connect the aux input directly to the power connector, all inside the center console. Then there is only the docking connection to the Ipod. No groud loop noise either. I have a rubber cover for my IPod, so I lay it next to the shifter...

Problem: Ipod + Aux connection + Docking cigarette power adapter = squeal

I use the Belkin Auto Kit for Ipod. It plugs into the docking connector. Then there is a 3.5mm plug on power outlet end that allows a connection to the Aux input. There is no ground loop problem at normal volmes and I only need to connect one plug to the ipod.

Biggest Issue - Clueless Dealer Service

Just got to 10K miles with my CX-9. In general, I relly like the car. I have had some issues, which the dealer seems incapable of fixing, or at least explaining. 1.- Car pulls left. Dealer is aware of TSB but says all is OK. Had to take Service Manager for a ride to show him that it is NOT OK...
