I'm actually looking for the two bolt flange right before the first cat... It comes built on to the protegegarage midpipe, but my guy cant find a place to order it...

Anyone know where I can find an exhaust flange for my MSP that mates the front of the midpipe with the downpipe/s pipe? A shop I'm having build me a midpipe cant find one and I dont want them to cut mine to make it...

Thanks for the heads up...He's already quoted me at under $100 for just the pipe I think... We measured the flange today and he already has all the other parts... I think I'm gonna drive it catless for a little while and make sure the sounds gone and then we'll put a cat in the line... I think...

Thats amazing...I'm having a shop custom fab the pipe after all...The only things he's wondering is what the diameter of the flange is that mounts up to the engine side "S" of the downpipe... He's ordering parts and we didn't take it off and measure it while i was there yesterday...anyone have...

Thanks for the suggestions for a fix as well as some of your guys input on the noise and whether its an issue or not... I would agree that the air may be whistling so loud it creates the screeching noise at high boost, but I've now had two dealerships and three techs tell me that the noise were...

Any suggestions for a inexpensive midpipe? Recommended brands?

So if i am strapped for cash, what are my options, especially when i have the dealer committed to fix the problem...They've already had three techs confirm the problem, one from another dealership, and now they have a mazda rep coming out to check it out... Without spending the money to...

Oh yeah, and the dealer told me that right after they replaced my failed turbo and sent it in to Mazda so they could crack it open and see what went wrong, Mazda called my dealer and told them the turbo was fine and not failed... Crazy huh? So from what they're telling me, the screeching is not...

Alright, I finally have an update on the screeching... After i took it back to the dealership and the tech rode with me and told me it was normal...I drove it around for the weekend to see if it would go away and if it actually was a normal boosting sound...Definitely not a normal boosting...
