um the smaller the turbo, the more hp per psi i believe. i could be wrong, but the msp should put out more hp per psi than the t-88.

you might want to get the kartboy hangers to see if its the exhaust. even if it isnt the exhaust you will still have the hangers in the end =p

warm up times are also a factor. a cold engine will use a lot more gas.
