Back up to OEM Ride Height - I'm a recovering dumb ass.

No, they aren't as stiff as Koni Yellows; but they are perfect for my purposes(DD/HPDE car).

    Suspension knocking in front

Nice! I'm @100k behind you. My only mods are an MSCAI, HT tune, and Koni FSDs- with a JBR rear bar waiting in the wings. My front bushings died around 120k...

Back up to OEM Ride Height - I'm a recovering dumb ass.

I'm running FSDs on stock springs with Gen 2 wheels and 225/45-18 Pilot Super Sports. I'm very pleased with this setup. I have a JBR rear bar awaiting installation; I'm going to start off on the stiffest setting, as recommended by a couple of fellow track geeks who also run MS3s.

My 7 year's experience with Hypertech...

I'm very happy with the HT on my 2007 MS3; my only other mods are a MSCAI, Koni FSDs, and Michelin PSS tires on Gen 2 wheels. My last mod will likely be a JBR RSB. My car is now an excellent DD yet is still capable of running HPDEs with little fear of blowing an engine. There are no new cars-and...

    Attention All Mazdaspeed3 Owners

I've had my 2007 since new. It's now at 91,000 miles and I still have it, primarily because it gets 27 mpg, it hasn't required any repairs in the past 20,000 miles, and it makes a fairly decent work/snow car. I also enjoy not carrying any consumer debt. The turbo started smoking at idle, the VVT...

    Attention All Mazdaspeed3 Owners

Based on my experience with an early 2007 build, I'd buy a 2008 or later. I had the turbo, the VVT actuator, and a front strut replaced under warranty. I later had to replace the EGR and rear shocks after the warranty expired. The shocks/struts are not all that great from the get-go so in any...

    When to change trans fluid

I use the Ford fluid and change it every 30,000 miles.

    Speed3 help and questions.

On an '07 MS3 the VVT actuator and a smoking turbo are the main issues. The EGR valve will likely need cleaning or replacement sometime after 50,000 miles. The struts/shocks are weak and can go south from 30,000 miles on- if not sooner.

Calling all MS3 Owners with smoking Turbos...

I wouldn't, mainly because I've had other mechanical and suspension problems in addition to a smoking turbo(VVT actuator, EGR valve, blown struts).

    What are my shock options?

I've always had good luck with Bilsteins, although the Koni Sports adjustability is a nice feature.

    What are my shock options?

Bilstein HDs or Sports Koni FSDs or Sports That's it.

    So long mazdaspeeder

I wouldn't mind a 2008 Magnum SRT-8; the restyled front end really improves the overall look of the car.

    So long mazdaspeeder

I'm leaning in your direction. I keep looking for the right E46 M3, but I can't get the E9 M5 out of my head. Or a Dinan 335i for that matter... Fantastic car regardless- congrats!

    Trans and diff fluid change?

No; the MS3 has a transaxle;the differential and transmission are contained in one housing. One fill plug, one drain plug- and you will need three quarts of XT-M5-QS.

What have you done to your MS3 today?

    Bought July 2007; 63300 miles.
