Gapping the plugs down is often a good idea, but you want them as close to stack gap as you can get without losing spark. 11:1 at idle is pretty rich, but you gotta do what you gotta do. You might try more timing at idle to get it a bit leaner just to save your plugs (and your eyes and nose!)...

Well, you don't really need to bring anything to the dyno. I guess the plugs aren't a bad idea, but unless the plugs that are in there are bad, you won't be doing anything to the engine that will force a replacement. Basically, if the motor is running correctly now, you'll be alright. I'd pump...
