    Rear Wiper Question

Mine will do this too if I have it set to constant or intermitent for an extended period of time. The motor sounds like it's grinding. It's done this for years and still functions just fine.

P5 wouldn't start unless door was opened and closed

That might be it... the positive terminal has quite a bit of corrosion on it. Will clean it up to see if that makes a difference.

P5 wouldn't start unless door was opened and closed

No alarm. No electrical mods at all.

P5 wouldn't start unless door was opened and closed

Had the strangest car-related thing happen this morning. Got in the P5 like I do every day to head into work. Key in the ignition, turn, nothing happens. Like it has a completely dead battery. Glance up at the dome light, it's on. So the car does have power. But the odometer guage doesn't show...

    rooftop cargo boxes

Yeah no kidding, those long, narrow boxes would look pretty ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that the hatch probably wouldn't open all the way. That's why I think the Rocketbox 15 would work. It's made for cars with small roofs. Just need to get out there and measure things to make sure it...

    rooftop cargo boxes

Thinking about buying one to make roadtrips with our baby gear a bit easier. Yakima, Thule... not sure which one to get. The Yakima rocketbox looks promising. Anyone using a rooftop box on their P5 right now? Which one? How do you like it? Fitment issues? Pics?

    car seat in a P5

Alright, cool. Thanks for the input everyone. We've got our little champ in a Graco SnugRide right now, just fits in the P5. The top of the seat hits the two front seats unless they're moved pretty far forward. Even in the middle. But it's a PITA to get in and out due to the smallish rear...

    car seat in a P5

No one has a convertible car seat in their P5? There's got to be some parents lurking around this forum... which seats fit? Which don't? Help out a fellow pop!

    car seat in a P5

Our baby unit is quickly outgrowing his infant car seat (at only 5 months old, he's a big dude) so we need to upgrade to a convertible seat - one that can be both rear and forward facing. Thinking of getting the Britax Diplomat because they say it's good for compact cars. Anyone used this...

    Work Shop Manual

Same. Though I was able to start downloading the .zip file. I stopped it to restart the download on my desktop, only to now get the fordibben message on both computers.

    replace P5 tailight/brakelight

I can see why that little plastic nub is on there - it keeps the light housing in place should all 3 of the nuts come off. I managed to get the light off without braking the nub, just pulled straight out.

    replace P5 tailight/brakelight

So the tailight still stays in without the clip? I can totally see myself breaking the damn thing first time out.

    replace P5 tailight/brakelight

Good tips. It's been a long time since I posted here, I forgot how helpful everyone is. :)

    replace P5 tailight/brakelight

Ok, so I was being dense afterall. Thanks!

    replace P5 tailight/brakelight

From reading the shop manual PDFs, it seems that one has to remove most of the rear interior panels just to replace a burned out tailight/brakelight. Is this really the case? Seems rather odd... I'm hoping I'm just being dense and am missing something obvious.

    Thoughts On 24?

Jack is the biggest badass on tv. EVAR. I can't think of anyone who is a bigger badass. Jack Bristoe (Alias) is pretty close, but Bauer is still king.

    Nice copy of our P5

The Rio5 SX is much better than the lame Spectra5. I like it almost as much as my P5... it's a very modern looking (re: Euro) 5 door. Pics from the Seattle auto show:

    Acura TSX A-SPEC Concept @ 2005 SEMA

The wider fenders make all the difference. My only beef with the stock TSX is that it doesn't appear very muscular, but this changes everything.
