    Axxis Ultimate Ceramic brake pads?

I am running Axxis Ultimate Ceramic (Kevlar) pads. I have been very happy with them! Much greater stopping power and no hint of fade. When shutting it down from high speeds! They are very close to oem for "cold" stopping performance as well. Much better than I expected. The only negitive thing I...

    turbo

From your description, it sounds like the re-circulator valve (BOV) chatters occasionally. When you get off the throttle, this valve is opened to release the pressurized air. Its vented back to just prior to the turbo inlet. I don't think its anything to worry about. The wastegate is only...

    Engine swap

That will be a nice combo. You will probably be using the BP-T trans, since the Protege AWD trans is known to be weak. The BPT trans is not well renown for its durability, but it should be good if you don't do too many hard launches. Here's the site of someone that has done what you want to do...

    Turbo Install Progress

It would do both, think of pressurized air as liquid. The intake size now has to be restriced to 1/2 of the intercoolers passages. That means that it goes from a 2.? inch open hole to a 3 inch space full of core. Then it bounce off the flat side of your endtank and has to take a full 180 Degree...

    Turbo Protege

The first gen is the easiest way to go. Mazda produced a factory turbo motor for the GTX and GTR that were never release in North America. They are reasonably easy to get a hold of. They are capable of 400HP on stock internals and I know of a BP motor putting down 545whp:eek: Because the stock...

    Intercooler Decision?????

That's a nice looking job. My core is only 15X9X3 and It was pretty tight in the front. I guess you must have a bit more room up front in the 3rd gens. Are you planning on running your piping under the front frame? Did you need to mod your bumper to let this thing fit? Rick

    Gas Mileage

I did my first highway run on the BPT motor. I filled up at the same gas station before and after the run (94 octane) 330KM used 28 liters or 11.79 KM per liter. That works out to be 28.6 MPG. Average speed 120KMH (75MPH). Fifth gear feels like a passing gear "Throttle sensitive" Very happy...

    Intercooler Decision?????

The way I see it, if you aren't adding to the conversation (thread) you are blowing hot air. I just didn't think that the comment "added" anything to thread. nuf said. I was just trying to show a successful implementation of the SAAB intercooler on a protege turbo project. The way I see it...

    Intercooler Decision?????

What kinda crack is that? Most folks here have a backyard not a C&C shop at their disposal! So where do you get off, what do you have in your front yard? I've got a first gen Pro that could eat yours with ease. It sits at a solid 13lbs all day long with out a boost controller, using the stock...
