From what I know of Sylvan Lake, if this is happening on a warm day there will not be a parking lot available for all the cars that would be coming. I am not sure how often anybody goes to Sylvan during the summer, but I do my best to stay away during the busy warm days. (I actually forgot...

Turner Valley? That is about 1 hour south of Calgary correct? Is it mountainy? A mountain area I would suggest would be Kananaskis. Closer than Banff, but still very nice. Some lakes, Nakiska, etc. Just my 2 cents.
