Yeh my 3 has a nice blue cut-off. These are 3900k.

The HID housing have a different projector and parts for a leveling motor.

Yeh, I don't think alot of OEM owners know that, and end up driving with less visibility over time. That's why so many OEM set-ups look 6000k; it's because they have shifted from 4300k towards 6000k if not possibly beyond.

Let's not get crazy, it's not a dramatic change but you do get increased performance. It's not nearly the change you get from halogen to HID.
