I've had mine for just over a year now, and only 7700 miles on it. Not nearly as much driving on this car as I did on my last car, where I had almost 15k in the same time frame.

Actually in California, tinting either of the front windows is illegal. Not just the drivers side. I tinted all my windows, but I only got 32%. The guy who did it said cops tend not to bother people with the medium darkness. My friend who has a 626 has been pulled over 3 times for having limo...

Dave pressure fits the center ring now too, so no problems with it coming off anymore. He offers both polished and brushed(pictured) aluminum rings for about $35, along with a cd with a video on how to install them. It's easy and cheap, and they look awesome.

Anyone done it to the auto with the sport shift? Seems like it would be easier since there is no OD button and the shifter itself already looks like a manual one. How did you guys install the boots into the center console?

I've used Stoners for a couple years now. Excellent product. Though I just had my windows tinted, so I'm not sure if I can continue to use it on the insides. You should be able to find it at stores like Pep Boys. That's where I've gotten it in the past.

Like the first guy said, just get the shorty from xelderx. There's a link in my sig to his webpage where he sells them. They are all high quality, and you can get it powdercoated black. It's a great product, and the powdercoated shorty is only $15

So basically the only one that works is the carbon fiber one by DG? Meh, I don't like CF all that much. Too bad that it's so expensive to get the valve cover and engine cover from a Mazdaspeed Protege. Oh well.
