Great write up. Had a place did the Sea Foam thingy for my old CRX in order to pass a failing smog check. So wanted to learn how to do it on my own on my MP3, since it can use a good tune up. Thanks for the help. I'll give it a try today.

If the car is right, try talk down a little on the price. Its good that you know the guy well, ensuring the car has been well taken care of. It may not be the best deal you can get, but is good to get the peace of mind. Save some money on new emblems. :D

If gas milage is really a concern, get yourself an intake, on top of a good tune-up. Either a SRI or a CAI will improve on the OEM restrictive air box quite a bit. I get about 25/26mpg with the OEM air box with K&N drop-in filter. Then I got myself a K&N Typhoon intake, bumped it up to 29mpg...

I guess depends on your budget. It sure is nice to play around with the K&N Typhoon as you can test out the difference of CAI & SRI to pick your liking. And its very well made. But it does cost more. If you feel like going for SRI only & save some money, then go for AEM.

Right on! :D Yellow MP3 looks the hottest. While MSP is a better car with a few extra headaches, and probably slightly shorter life span because of the turbo. But turbo, LSD, stiffer suspension are all good stuff.
