New 2024 CX-5 not starting - lemon car?

Do you do a lot of short hops without longer drives between them? Doing that will run down the battery since it's drawing more power from the battery to start the car than gets put back in from a short drive. Couple that with the car's always on electronics like the connection to the app and...

    Low tire pressure on continuously

Pure speculation here but since it depends on rotational speed to see differences in tire pressure maybe you have a tire that's more worn than the other ones triggering the system. It might be worth checking tread depth on all the tires to see if they're worn evenly.

    Ventilated seat care question

Not an option on my '24 TP. My wife's '24 CX-30 has it.

    Ventilated seat care question

Amazon link is https://a.co/d/8tG175p. I did modify the heck out of it and split the readout from the solar cell and printed up some custom mounts for them since I didn't like it stuck right on the windshield. Sensors go on the valves and have caused no issues though they are a tad ugly.

    Ventilated seat care question

I just bought one of those digital readouts that you put on the dash with sensors that go on the valves and it seems to work well so far. Ran me 35 bucks on Amazon and seems a pretty good investment for a city car where hazards are everywhere and it's easy to pick up a nail and get a slow leak.

    Ventilated seat care question

But still quite common. I see it all the time over on Reddit. When I picked up my CX-5 last year as soon as I drove it away I could tell they were too high. Yep, all over 45. We got the wife s CX-30 a month later and I specifically told the idiots to check it before we picked it up. Nope. All...

    Ventilated seat care question

Make sure you check the tire pressure before you drive it away, dealers often don't reset it from the higher shipping pressure.

2013 Mazda CX-5 Auto Fold Side Mirrors?

Just to be clear, if you turn the control knob all the way clockwise the mirrors actually fold in? And for sure it's a 2013? Folding mirrors were a much later addition, at least in the US. I don't know about other countries though.

    CX-30 Wireless Charging Overheats iPhone

I agree and keep a corded fast charger in my 5. Unfortunately Mazda removed the aux jack in the new 30's so the best you can do is use the wimpy extra USB port in the console. When i went to add a charger to the 30 and found the covered space where it used to be I was sorta stunned.

    CX-30 Wireless Charging Overheats iPhone

The chargers seem pretty worthless. The one in my wife's 30 seems mostly to just get her iPhone hot and the one on my CX-5 does the same with my Samsung. That being said when I have my phone in my pocket running AA with music and maps wirelessly it gets pretty warm on it's own and drinks a fair...

    Screen blackout question

I'll try that but I don't think that's it since it's connected and playing music, just no display. That got me thinking though, I've never looked to see if the GPS info showed up on the HUD since as soon as I see the screen is black I hit a button to bring it back.

    Screen blackout question

Howdy all. I have an interesting semi-problem with my '24 TP with AA. When I first start the car all is well, AA connects wirelessly, shows up on the screen and it all works fine. But if if I stop the car for a bit, say going into a store, when I restart it the screen often is blank. If I push...

Poll Will you be paying for the Mazda app?

I did a poll last week on the CX-5 sub to see if folks were going to pay for the app once their trial expires. Out of 83 responses 74% said no, 12% said yes and 13% had or are were planning to put in their own remote start. I thought I'd try it again over here just to see what happens. I'm...

Valet parking incident, no key detected (2023 CX-5)

They might have left the fob in the car or parked it close enough to the fob to have it do it on its own. I've learned to not leave my car in the driveway next to the door with the key hook or I'll lose both fobs to low power mode after a while. Baffled the crap out of me the first time it...

Key Fob Pressure question (2020 CX-5)

Another guess. The PC board might have been a bit misaligned in the case so the buttons weren't sitting right on the tabs that push on them when you press the button. When you popped the case to replace the battery the board might have reseated to where it should be so the problem went away.

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

This has all made me curious about exactly what the physical difference is between the the older and newer switch and what is failing, is it a bad electrical contact or a mechanical thing. I'm just asking because I'm wondering if it would be possible to create a 3d printable part to repair the...

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

I think most if not all the folks here are car savvy and do their own diagnostics up to some point. The people on Reddit are often clueless and ask questions about what dashboard indicators mean...

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

I think BMW does that too, probably others at this point. AFAIK Mazda only wants to charge for the app, but hasn't started doing that yet. Once you have to pay for that bug ridden abomination you might actually expect it to work well and they would be in all sorts of hot water. As far as parts...

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

I suspect it's not some nefarious plot from Mazda to make more money. Back when that switch was spec'ed out for the car they ordered or made X amount of units, enough to build the expected amount of cars they produced using it plus whatever they thought they would need as spare parts over X...
