Have the timing belt and water pump checked out. Also have a look at the passenger side motor mount, as we once had 5 out of 6 P5s at a meet with torn ones, lol.

I didn't ask how high it was, but I never had this problem 2 years ago when I last took the car through emissions.

Well, this is finally all done! It turned out to be a high idle, due to some buildup in the throttle body. EGR also needed to be replaced, which probably threw the idle out as well. Because the idle was too high, it wouldn't even begin the first test. Got that fixed up, and all was good again!

If you're removing the PCM, be careful with that plate, as others have mentioned. Not only can the sharp edges cut you, but they can just as easily cut the insulation on some wiring. It's best to remove the plate, and then reach underneath, and remove the two 10mm nuts holding one of the...
