How easy is DIY for the spark plugs?

I'm not sure you can judge whether they were properly torqued by how clean the threads look. They seal on the captured crush washers, not the threads.

    Sluggish accelaration

That's plausible. Perhaps I'm forming my impression from occasions when not coming to a complete stop before accelerating.

    Sluggish accelaration

It's not because the battery is new. I believe its because it spent time without power and reset.

    Sluggish accelaration

After I changed my battery my acceleration off the line was more responsive. It gradually got worse again over the following year I think. I believe it adapts to your behavior and if you normally accelerated slowly it will start in a higher gear, then lose time if you have to downshift. I...

Yeah, me too. Same benefits plus can still be safety device for rear passengers.

The stealer sure wants a lot for all around brake work

If that's true, its likely that Mazda originally designed the rear brake sizing so that they roughly lasted as long as the fronts. Then in successive iterations, changed the tuning for other reasons like dynamics, handling, safety, etc that wound up relying more heavily on the rears. But...

Radar Dimax AS-8 225/55R19 103V Tires Finally Installed

On the 3rd attempt spanning a couple of years, I finally got my local Discount Tire call and find the Dimax AS-8, but they want to charge $138 plus $25 shipping for each to special order when Walmart has them for $104 and they won't price match :( I'm not paying $200+ more for the convenience...

Which Trailer Hitch? 2000lb Trailer and 2016 CX-5

This is a good point that immediately came to mind. Many people misread the rating for these cars. The limit is 2000 lbs with brakes, 1000 lbs without brakes for the US non-turbo models.

Help! Dropped engagement ring into 2024 CX-5 Defroster vent

Funny, I read this thread, and even posted in it before. Today I opened it based on the title thinking it would be about some type of retaining ring that fell in during disassembly. Like the ring was meant to maintain engagement between two parts.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I know many people have the experience and skill to torque nuts by hand. I'm not trying to tell you that you shouldn't, and like I said, you may be compensating for the the lower torque requirement with lubricated threads. There's plenty of debate, and some data, about the pros and cons...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

https://www.bsc-ind.com/1089662/product/n/loctite-51001-loct It's described as allowing more clamping force when fastened to a given torque. That is one of the concerns with using lubricants on lug nuts. Perhaps you are compensating by tightening to a lower torque to avoid over-straining the...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Yeah, I think the "lug wrench" they are referring to is a dual purpose device. @Conrad 16.5 grease: a thick oily substance, especially as used as a lubricant Permatex Anti Seize Lubricant SDS lists 2nd ingredient as Mineral Oil...

    Oil pan bolt stripped threads

Especially if its from the same dealership that previously quietly sent it out in the condition discovered by the next dealer and pictured by OP.

    Oil pan bolt stripped threads

Did you look at it after they fixed it? This is the same shop that let it leave with that blue junk. Why do you believe it is fixed any better than it was before you brought it to the 2nd dealer. It's hard to imagine a legitimate circumstance in which they'd do that in a dealer shop, and if...

Be glad you have a CX-5

The obvious problem is wanting to do a daily commute using cheap electricity from home, but have the flexibility of gas infrastructure and range. Allows more torque and power without a big ICE.
