Normal operating temp is about 90c. It would climb to 115c at stoplights, then drop to 90c a few seconds after taking off from a stop. Some fluctuation is normal, but this was way too much fluctuation in a much shorter time.

Coolant temp gauge would read normal operating temperature, then show higher temps when stopped at a light or when idling. Temps would drop immediately once I started accelerating again, back to a normal temp.

From what I recall, Comma.AI adds lane centering capability to vehicles that don't have it. The CX-5 only has lane keep assist otherwise. I didn't know that it now adds the features above. I certainly would not trust it in any scenario but it's interesting that they offer it.

That is correct, there is no removable center console between the two seats in this configuration (commonly called "Captain's Chairs" in the US/CAN market). The Signature or top trim of the CX-9 does have a center console between the two captain's chairs, but I don't think it's removable.

Just a note - new SG1 fluid isn't clear out of the bottle. It's like honey.. very close to this colour: When I drained the fluid out of my CX-9 at 70k kms, it looked like brand new engine oil. Darker than the brand new fluid, but not bad by any means.

I'm not sure. I suppose you could use an adhesive to stick the trim to the panel, but you'd have to apply consistent pressure until the adhesive cured, and then if it ever needed to come off, it would be coming off in pieces. Maybe the body-mounted clips that hold on to the trim's fasteners can...
