    CX-5 Turn Signal Indicator Volume

With regards to "radio on startup" - I believe if you press and hold the volume button for 2 or 3 seconds, it will turn the infotainment system off, and it won't come on at the next startup. When you want it on again, you press and hold the volume button for 2 or 3 seconds again. (That's how it...

Blizzak WS-90 thoughts after 3 seasons

In Western Canada - also have WRG4s on two CX-5s year round. We don't get a ton of snow here, but they've been great on ice. I was able to side-by-side test one with, and one without, and the difference on ice was amazing. We're snowbirds, so no real way to switch back and forth between winter...

CX-5 Turbo Owners…Who has the red badge?

My wife has a 2022 CX-5 GT Sport Edition (a Model available in Canada) and we have the little red T in the grille - which my wife loves - but we do not have a turbo. Starting with the 2023 model year. the Sport Edition only comes with a turbo.

    Tighten 2022-23 CX-5 Chassis Nuts & Bolts @ 15K?

I have the owners manuals for 2014, 2016, 2021 and 2022. 2014 says to do it yearly. 2016, 2021 and 2022 say to do it every other year.

CX-5 Adaptive Cruise Control…How often do you use it?

On the 2022 CX-5 you can switch to normal cruise control by pressing and holding the mode button on the steering wheel. I don't know if it's the same for the 2023.

CX-5 Turbo is the best AWD SUV for the money

He actually paid $49,394 for the vehicle. Vehicle $49,394 Less trade -$25,500 equals $23,894 Plus 13% tax $3,106 equals $27,000 – which is the amount he said he gave the dealership

CX-5 Adaptive Cruise Control…How often do you use it?

When my CX-5 was new-ish, I wanted to test that behaviour, so I tried 3 or 4 times allowing the car to detect a stopped car at a red light, and each time I bailed out and hit the brakes myself. I know the emergency braking works, because it’s gone off 2 or 3 times in the past couple of years...

CX-5 Turbo is the best AWD SUV for the money

The "Sport Design" is the Canadian equivalent to the US “2.5 Turbo Premium”. It is basically the Carbon Turbo, with a “Black” style package. The exterior side mirrors are finished in black, instead of the body color. The wheel fender trim is finished in the shiny piano black, rather than the...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

According to my calculations, you paid $49,400 CDN (about $36,500 US) for your vehicle. Looking at the mazdausa.com, and mazda.ca build and price sites, the Canadian CX-5 GT Sport Edition, is the equivalent of the American CX-5 2.5 Turbo Premium, which lists at $39,770 US in red with black...

What is the purpose of a HUD?

When I first got the HUD, I felt the same as TheBlooms. But after having it for just a month, I loved it and would definitely pay extra to get it on any future vehicles. I felt the same about keyless entry - just another gimmick that can go wrong and cost me money. But after having it for a...

I just scoured the manuals, and I see no way to change the home screen.

2020 CX-5 daytime running lamps (DRL) not working

Just checking – are you aware that the headlights act as the DRLs for gen 2 CX-5s? I suggest you have a read of this thread https://mazdas247.com/forum/t/cx-5-headlight-stalk-choices.123879008/#post-6775266 specifically yrwei52’s post #7 I had been confused by this as well – because my wife...

Does the 2023 CX-5 Rear Window wiper lift up to clean?

Just for future reference.... Removing that base cover plate, and standing the wiper up, makes it much easier to change the wiper. (I'm not sure you can remove the wiper with the base cover plate in place.) This is a link to a video showing how to remove the base cover plate, and then the...

    Detailing product for the trim?

I use Chemical Guys VRP and find it works remarkably well. Super easy to apply, inexpensive, and turns the trim jet black. I use it on the wheel well trim, and bumpers etc - not on the shiny, painted black trim between the windows etc.

New 2023 CX-5 owner questions re: Traffic Sign Recognition

P.S. - when you said "but when I turned onto another street it didn't register the 40mph at all" - did the street that you turned on to have a 40mph sign? Probably not, as they wouldn't have signs at every corner - so this would be further proof that the system actually reads the signs, and...

New 2023 CX-5 owner questions re: Traffic Sign Recognition

I have a 2021 CX-5 with TSR. Based on my experience, the TSR is totally unrelated to the Nav system. It does not use the NAV system to know where the speed limits change. Rather, it actually reads the signs, using a camera system. This leads to some limitations.... 1. If the sign indicating a...

    Sunroof Issue - 2019 CX-5 Signature

Further to Scoobdude's comments, if the issue is in fact related to presurization, I would try lowering the driver's window a bit, before closing the sunroof, just to see if that improves the issue. If it does, then as the various door/window/sunroof seals get worn in, the issue might go away.

    Manual and Delete Previous Destination

Check page 70 of this manual (not sure what version of Mazda Connect you have). https://www.mazda.ca/globalassets/en/pdf/manuals/navigation/nav-mzd-connect-en.pdf Bascially, once you saved the location, it became a "favourite". You are basically deleting a "Nav Favourite".

Disable power folding mirror?! 2019 CX-5 Signature

This is very late in the game, but just thought I'd post in case it helps others who find this thread. When the manual says "press and hold the front passenger's power window switch", it means the switch on the driver's door - not the switch on the passenger's door. That's what I was doing...
