Did you check your caliper pins? Make sure they are not binding or seizing up which may cause the pad to drag across your rotors even when not pressing on the brake pedal... See video for lubricating pins.. Use only Sil-glyde brand, Other products may cause the rubber boot to swell up...

what size is your USB drive ? and what format ? NTFS or FAT32 I think there is a max 64gb USB limit for older model 2016s and before, and it had to be FAT32 format first try a cheapo 8gb or less USB formatted to FAT32 and add some MP3 files and see if the CX-5 recognizes it.

just FYI, 2016 CX-5, I noticed some leaves sticking out behind the passenger front wheel so decided to take off the fender cap and pulled back the fender liner and it was packed full of leaves and dirt, has anyone else noticed this before or does anyone know where all this junk is coming from...
