2016 CX-9 subtle jerking at low speed

I have experienced this as well when cold. I usually put in “manual” shift mode to control the shift from 1st to 2nd during the short warm up period. After the short warm up the vehicle shifts as expected.

    Latest Infotainment System Update

I agree. I don’t want it on all the time but did use it when in sport/manual shift mode. Was easier to see RPM in HUD rather than looking down.

    New Mazda SUV...

I have a 2016 Signature Metallic Gray CX-9. I must be missing what others are seeing/experiencing when your friends mean when they say “more HP”. My first question is what should the SUV be able to do that it cannot do now, without taking HP, Torque , 4 cylinder, etc. into consideration. There...

    The Mazda CX-9 sales mystery

Well said! It is a matter of what speaks to you which and also the reason why we have different vehicles to choose from.

    The Mazda CX-9 sales mystery

Another thing that doesn’t help is not being able to rent the CX-9. If it weren’t for me renting a 2016 Kia Sorento I would have never looked shopped before purchasing the CX-9. I was very impressed with the power, room, highway gas mileage, etc.. I told myself I would not buy another vehicle...

2016 CX-9 blind spot monitoring design issue ?

Well said! I install blind spot mirrors on all of my vehicles, including this one, so I never depend solely on the BSM system. It is a nice feature though.

2016 CX-9 blind spot monitoring design issue ?

I had the same concerns initially and noticed that some luxury vehicles BSM will not activate depending on quickly you pass a vehicle. In the CX-5 forums I have been reading there are complaints about that the 2017 BSM system is detecting a vehicles further back than desired for some drivers. I...

Mazda needs to do far better marketing on the CX-9

The other problem is Mazda seemed to be limiting the amount of information reviewers could share. If you were trying to research the vehicle there wasn't much available.

    Heat & Electronics degradation

I saw when I first purchased my vehicle. Hadn't seen since I tinted the windshield. I know you shouldn't have to do that but, it has been said on the forums before, the windshield draws in lots of heat.

Any decent 2.5t mileage reports yet?

I recently made an ~800 mile drive. On one of the tanks I averaged 26-27mpg. This was all highway at speeds mostly between 70 and 80 MPH with an average speed of 69 MPH. Not much high elevation driving so the roads were fairly flat. Weather was around 90F according to the vehicle. I am really...

    Infotainment CX-9 All-in-One Tweak?

Hey cubanomx. Not sure if you have it working yet but the speedometer app does work on V59. What I had to do to finally get it working was first uninstall it. Then in the AIO tweaks program I chose "Do Not Activate", original background, uncheck the extra options for the speedometer, then...

    Active Cruise Control below 15MPH

I'm not sure but I would love this myself. Or at least go down to around 9 MPH. I don't need it to completely stop the vehicle but help when traffic is crawling slowly.

    New Guy Intro

This!!! I truly look forward to driving my Signature. To talk about first world problems for a moment, I recently had my CX-9 serviced and was given a 2016.5 CX-5. Although the CX-5 was pretty zippy I was very happy to get my CX-9 back. The luxury feeling is the best in any vehicle I have ever...

    Heated mirrors?

The US version does. I wondered the same thing until I turned on the rear defroster and noticed the side mirrors defrosting as well. At least on my 2016 Signature they are there.

2016 CX-9 blind spot monitoring design issue ?

I had the same concern when I purchased my 2016 CX-9. Recently I was given a 2016.5 CX-5 as a loaner and noticed the BSM system works the way you expect. As soon as there is a vehicle in your blind spot, whether or not you are passing the vehicle, the BSM lights up. When I got my CX-9 back the...

New Member here: I just test drove a cx 9 signature - "dreadful A/C" is correct

+1 for this comment. I recently attended a couple of auto shows and made sure to sit in the second row or back seat of as many SUVs as I could. The 2016+ Mazda CX-9 definitely holds its against its competitors in its class. I nor most people I know who have SUVs rarely have them full up all the...

Another CX-9 on the road :-)

Congrats and welcome to the forum! As others have said I totally agree. @jpjr50 - I have hit my head a few times. Now I just have to remember to duck. It is especially bad when the vehicle's rear end is lower than the front (small hill). BTW I'm 5'11".

    "Nappa" leather in Signature trim

Another thing to note about the Nappa leather is that it smells like leather. If you like that smell and the color, then Nappa is the way to go. I happen the like the nice leather smell.
