    Rattling Noises/Sound System - 2016.5 CX-5 GT

I, too, have the same rattle in our 2016 CX5 GT. So far it only seems to be the drivers side door, and when I put some pressure around the door handle area on the inside it goes away. Of course the others are correct, the bass is what causes the rattles, and sound dampening (dynamat, etc) will...

Rear Parking Sensor - 2016 GS CX 5

The new CX-5's come with the parking sensor as a factory option. If you do have it, it has an on/off switch inside the trunk to the left hand side. If you don't have it, it's available for around $500 (plus installation I assume). Unfortunately, it's not a standard feature on CX-5's. I was...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

That's really good advice, thanks! I'll look into the flexible oil change schedule. The service adviser at the dealership set up the maintenance reminders in the car for us when she was walking us through all the features and stuff. They did an oil change as part of the "pre-delivery...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

I totally agree. Happy wife = happy life! :) By the way, I just had to go take it out for a drive at night. The LED headlights are very very nice! I really love the AFS too - really seemed to help light up the curves! The auto-headlight high-low beam thing works as it should, but it seems...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

Thank you to everyone for the helpful advice on buying our first Mazda! We did end up taking the used 2016 Red GT (with Tech and iActivSens packages), and I was able to talk them down to $30,200 out the door, which ended up being a selling price of $28,103 (plus TTL) (listed price that they...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

They gave us 3 free oil changes. He said that we should do 5000 miles between oil changes. I thought these cx5s could go (up to) 10k between changes.

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

I would, but there are no comparable cars in the area to compare it to, nor any that we want.

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

So I was able to talk them down to $30,200 out the door for the red used one that I mentioned in my original post. No extras thrown in. Good deal??? At least I got them to budge a little bit.

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

I very very seriously doubt that I can get a comparable new one for only a "few hundred" more. Maybe a few thousand more.... Well tomorrow morning is when we are going to go in and try to make a deal. I may try to negotiate again on the new one first, just to see what kind of deal they will...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

Damn, that's too bad. I didn't realize it had hail damage, since it's not mentioned anywhere. You would think they would mention that in the ad! Stupid dealers.

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

There's one in SA that looks like a good one that's dirt cheap. Red GT with Tech package. I haven't looked at it in person because we are only looking for a black interior, but maybe you might be interested in this one. The price certainly is excellent, although I'm not sure why they can't...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

That's still a very good deal even with incentives. We don't have a mazda, unfortunately, so we don't get the loyalty bonus. He did mention that perhaps I can get $500 off (a new car) for the Memorial Day sale, though. And I'm not aware of the Mazda/Chase offer, but I'll definitely ask about...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

Thanks, I would gladly take 9.7% off msrp! The list (of the new one) is 34,225, so that would put it right at 31 grand. That would probably be fair in my book. Only problem is getting these stupid salesman to budge. They know that they can sell these cars, so they aren't negotiating much...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

Thanks Doc, I appreciate the input. I agree, FWD should be more than sufficient since we don't get any snow here. We're still leaning towards the used one rather than new. Even if they won't lower the price much, I still think it's a decently good deal for a practically new car. My wife...

Thanks for your input, I guess. Glad you enjoy your AWD.

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

I know what you mean - the streets here are pretty dang slick too. The CX-5 will be replacing my wife's Infiniti EX35, which is rear-wheel-drive and close to 300hp, and she complains about sliding all over in that car. Of course, being FWD, it won't slide nearly as much as a powerful RWD car...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

So I went to a mazda dealership and tried to see what they could do for me on a new CX-5. I found one that's very similar to the used one (mentioned in OP), except this one has AWD as well. So, 2016.5 GT, Soul Red/Black w/ Tech and ACTIVSENS package, plus it has roof rails, and door and sill...

    Buying Advice - Used 2016 CX-5 GT

Ok guys, no fist fights in my thread! (enguard) I'm honestly hesitant to buy a new car because I've always known that it's not smart because you take an immediate depreciation hit. Granted the used car is still priced high, at least I won't lose 5 grand in the first few months of owning it...
