Yes but the functionality via the head unit is not the same. Control has to come with the iphone itself which I frequently can't do because I'm well, driving. Also even if I set the iphone on shuffle the music WILL NOT shuffle once I'm playing through the bluetooth. I'm researching...

Alas this happened to me too. Last weekend. I tried everything suggested but no good. At the same time the bluetooth stopped connecting. A reboot of the iphone 6 did fixed this and the phone will work as an ipod but not my actual ipod. Very very frustrating.

Take a tour around this forum and you will learn this is a hot and very frustrating issue for newer cx5 owners. Seems to be unfixable at this time. Sorry you have to join this club. I for one am shouting it from the hills. Mazda has got to take notice and DO SOMETHING!!!

I have the same configuration. I can play over both, most of the time, with the USB connected to the phone. Although this weekend nothing would work, lost bluetooth connection and all. I rebooted my phone and it worked. What I can't seem to do right now is use any other ipod. "Ipod Error."...

I tried this with my new iphone 6 today and agree it may be less frustrating to me than the USB connection issues. My question, you have to use the phone controls to get it to the list you want to play first, right? No way to do that or change once your driving via the car audio controls?
