The cx-5 may not be a luxury brand but the quality is very high. Yes the info system is poor but the rest of the car is very high quality. I have owned 5 Mazda's over the years and none of there gave me trouble. Some were well over 150000 miles with nothing more than routine maintenance.

Mileage will be lower because your car is new and the cold weather. I usually get 27 to 28 mpg in summer but winter is 24 to 26. that is even with a warm engine and a 50 mile commute. Wind is another factor here in Iowa a strong wind which is a lot of the time will also lower your mileage

I have they look ok to me. Quality good better or same as oem I do not know. Have not seen oem. I would guess oem are also made in China for Mazda.

I had a 2002 miata SE and I can tell you that the cx-5 is no miata in the twisters, but for a high profile vehicle is does quite well. Enjoy the cx-5 but it is not a miata.

Just back from dealer and asked about the USB problem fix and they said they haven't heard about a fix. I doubt if there will ever be one. If there is one I will be in line to have the work done.

Back from dealer about windshield defrost position problem. All it was a simple adjust of the cable to control flow door.
