What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Cleaned up the interior yesterday. Was going to do the outside too. But then the forecast said rain for the next couple days so I'll hold that off for the weekend.

You know if I had 1 major complaint or design flaw it would be........

Build quality could've been a lot tighter in some areas. Some vibrating/rattling sounds have started occurring. And not sure if it's just mine, but acceleration has been kinda spotty lately. Will have to have the tech look at it next service stop.

Help! CX-5 Factory Rear Backup Sensor

Yeah, I know Hyundai did this for the hatchback Elantra model. I must've toyed around with just that one feature for like 15minutes while my friend was working a deal for his Santa Fe lol.

Which car to buy: 2014 Mazda CX-5 s Grand Touring or Mazda3 s Grand Touring?

FWD with winter tires is fine. Like others have stated, the right tires can make all the difference. But I would still suggest the CX-5. The ground clearance is something a lot of people seem to dismiss. While my Matrix XR with winter tires drove fine, it's plastic shield and side mouldings...

    2014 CX5 2.5 fuel econ horrible

Isn't 25MPG the EPA mileage? Not sure what you're so upset about. It's what I've been averaging with warmer weather and no snow to deal with. Also, on board mileage is calculated by wheel rotation. It's really just a ball park way to monitor your driving habit and efficiency. Have you tried...

    2015 CX-5 AWD Off-Road Review (Everyman Driver)

... Why do 99% of these "off road" reviews never install actual off road tires before doing these runs? "Hey, lets go off roading in stock 19" wheels/tires!" "LETS DO IT!" /facepalm

    On Track to Purchase a CX5....then I saw a 2014 Jeep Cherokee

I don't think he means the sound of the engine. In my test drive, the Cherokee had noticeably less wind and road noise.

The next CX-5 Wish List. Go!

Heated steering wheel Passenger power seat Decreased cabin noise Bonus wish: Wish the sun roof can retract back in with just a single push and not have to hold it to close it.

They can come right off, even the glass pane itself. Kinda neat.

    On Track to Purchase a CX5....then I saw a 2014 Jeep Cherokee

The new Jeep Renegade sounds pretty good. Of course it's Italy built quality with Jeep engineering...looks are relative, but I think it looks pretty good. Could be worth a look when it hits the dealers late this year/early next.

    CX-5 rattles

Glad we have a thread for this. Rattles are pretty noticeable from cold start up. First is coming from the console unit/right below it. Second passenger side (which I suspect is the pull down visor, as holding onto that seems to stop it most of the time) and the rattle from the trunk. Now...

Yeah, I thought even with the auto locks it only happens if you walk away from the vehicle with the fob.

That....doesn't sound right. What kind of phone do you have?

If you're streaming with bluetooth, why not enable shuffle right off the device?

About to pull the trigger on the CX-5 but worried about issues

Mines happening in a couple places. One is coming right from the front panel. The other is front passenger side. The one from the panel goes away when the car is sufficiently warmed up.

About to pull the trigger on the CX-5 but worried about issues

I've never had ice build up inside my windshield all winter. And I live in a climate where winters are pretty brutal. The only issue I have with mine is some rattling noises that started to happen.

    2014 CX5 2.5 fuel econ horrible

Short tips on cold days will definitely kill your MPG. It takes at least 10minutes of straight driving to get the car and its engine up to optimal running temps. I usually hover around 19MPG city driving for a bit before the meter starts showing 21MPG.

    2014 CX5 2.5 fuel econ horrible

With another cold snap, mileage dipped a bit again. -25C or colder and windchills of -40C will do that I guess lol.

    Bye,bye CX5....

I can see why people don't like the firmer seats of the CX-5. But I really do like them as with a bit of padding for lumbar, it helps keep correct seating posture.
