What pcb said. Even on my old Pontiac Fiero it would take about 100 miles for the car to adjust to whatever changes I made. I cleaned my EGR valve last week and it would drop RPMs at idle sometimes. It went away after about 90 miles or so.

The engine in it was too messed up when they got the car to resell anything. The engine was scrapped and just about everything on the front end was as well. The suspension is actually all still there, but I don't know what kind of condition the sway bars and such are in since the PO met a tree...

How long has it been since your spark plugs, wires, and coils have been changed? If they're getting old you can start with that stuff. You could also check your tires to see if they're under inflated or over inflated.

I get about 30 mpg if I drive conservatively. For the most part though, I don't. So I end up getting about 26 - 27 mpg 100% city on mid grade gas.
