    Almost got my CX-5

We were lucky, our CX-5 AWD GT w/tech was ordered 7/25. About early Oct we were told it was due into port (Newark) on 10/31 and due at the dealer by 11/13. Well early november we were told the car "was still on the boat" - they had intentially left cars on the boat to protect them from the...

Does the CX-5 have a "battery saver"?

I thought most (all?) new cars these days had batter savers that turned off interior lights, etc if left on with no key in the ignition, etc that after 15 minutes or so would cut power to all accessories. Apparently the CX-5 does not, or it is based on voltage vs. time. I was headed to bed...

    CX-5 "Tow" eyelet

I took a quick peek in the trunk of our CX-5 and there seems to be two eyelets, one short one long, just like the owner's manual says. Not sure how they secure the cars on the ROROs they use to transport them over the ocean. Don't know for certain if they were "used" or not on the voyage over...

Mazda Accessories seem to be done right!!

I will get a few pics of the accessories this weekend and post.....Yes Mazda driver NJ, the CX-5 has a sporty soul while being fuel efficient, we both love it. Her fuel savings increased a bit going from the RAV4 to the CX-5, probably went from an average of 22 mpg to 27 mpg and she drives...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

For most of the past 6-8 months the dealer has had somewhere between 1-2 and 5-6 or so CX-5 on the lots, with 80% of them Touring, the remainder Sport, and virtually no GTs. They had one or wo GTs early in the year, i.e. Feb or so, and then none till mid to late July, when a few came in...

So when can we expect the official 2014 EPA numbers?

Agreed with Mike M. The CX-5 with the 2.0 is no rocket ship, but has enough power for it's intended purpose and gets decent mpg while doing it. I would love to have 30 more hp from the 2.5 skyactiv, but not at the penalty of 1-2 mpg. Sounds like Mazda is saying no change or maybe 1 mpg less...

North America: Diesel is coming in April 2014!

Hate to hear people having problems with the Skyactiv D. I would love to have one, but suspect the "economy" won't be there in the US, at least not if the MSRP is $2500 or more.....that would be the absolute most i would pay based strictly on breaking even in the first 150,000 miles or so. Of...

Mazda Accessories seem to be done right!!

We picked up a 2013 CX-5 GT AWD with tech and had the following accessories installed as part of the deal: Hood guard, side window deflectors, rear bumper guard, wheel locks, cargo cover, cargo tray (rubber mat) and a 3rd key. The hood guard and side window deflectors have a really nice fit...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

Just bought a 2013 CX-5 GT AWD with Tech in pearl white on 11/23/12 in Connectictut. MSRP was $30,915. Supposedly paid S-plan which is about $1000 less than that, but also took a porking on the trade. Did get the dealer to add the cargo tray (rubber mat), cargo cover, hood guard/bug...
