I thought most (all?) new cars these days had batter savers that turned off interior lights, etc if left on with no key in the ignition, etc that after 15 minutes or so would cut power to all accessories. Apparently the CX-5 does not, or it is based on voltage vs. time. I was headed to bed...

I took a quick peek in the trunk of our CX-5 and there seems to be two eyelets, one short one long, just like the owner's manual says. Not sure how they secure the cars on the ROROs they use to transport them over the ocean. Don't know for certain if they were "used" or not on the voyage over...

Agreed with Mike M. The CX-5 with the 2.0 is no rocket ship, but has enough power for it's intended purpose and gets decent mpg while doing it. I would love to have 30 more hp from the 2.5 skyactiv, but not at the penalty of 1-2 mpg. Sounds like Mazda is saying no change or maybe 1 mpg less...

Hate to hear people having problems with the Skyactiv D. I would love to have one, but suspect the "economy" won't be there in the US, at least not if the MSRP is $2500 or more.....that would be the absolute most i would pay based strictly on breaking even in the first 150,000 miles or so. Of...
