CX-5 Android Auto / Apple CarPlay

Yeah that's the problem, AA didn't come with my stereo system.

CX-5 Android Auto / Apple CarPlay

Sort of clear ;-) My concern is that since this was an after-market installation (by the dealer), it only works through my phone - I have to plug my phone in via USB before Android Auto will even show up on my screen. If the next Android OS update removes the app, I'm not sure how it will...

CX-5 Android Auto / Apple CarPlay

Just read that Android is doing away with Android Auto on mobile devices and pushing users to "Google Maps Driving Mode." Anyone know waht this means for earlier model CX-5 owners (like me, 2017) that had the Android Auto installed after-market at the dealer? Hoping it will still work!

Rear Cross Traffic Alert - where is sensor located?

Good question - just checked my invoice and it's A/M. Hmm. The dealer noted my cracked tail light when they last changed my oil, so my concern is they already know it has been replaced and not by them. Dealer quote to fix it was $500-600 so I said nope and went to the mechanic. Still...

Rear Cross Traffic Alert - where is sensor located?

The front BSM seemed to be working this morning, the light on the mirror went on when someone would pass me on the highway. When I went to change lanes with a car near my rear bumper, however, the light didn't display (and it typically does, usually it's ultra sensitive). I know it's the same...

Rear Cross Traffic Alert - where is sensor located?

To add to this, in case it helps: this was the lamp that's on the rear side, not on the hatch.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert - where is sensor located?

Yes the tail lamp was easily removed from the outside, but to connect all the wires properly he had to pull out the panel inside the trunk. I watched him do it; he was thinking was as easy as you say but there was a wire going inside that had to be disconnected. That's where I'm guessing...

Rear Cross Traffic Alert - where is sensor located?

Recently had my rear tail lamp assembly in my 2017 CX5 replaced by a local mechanic (it was cracked and wouldn't pass inspection). I just noticed that the Rear Cross Traffic Alert has stopped working since it was replaced. Thinking he accidentally disconnected something or somehow blocked the...

    Upgraded from 2013 to 2017

Oh yeah I noticed right away when test driving how much more "zoom zoom" the 2017 has vs. the 2013. More responsive and faster acceleration getting onto the highway. I think it's quieter and smoother ride, too.

    Upgraded from 2013 to 2017

Went with the Eternal Blue Mica. I loved that Sky Blue so much, wanted to get as close as I could to it. Really like the Eternal Blue.

    Upgraded from 2013 to 2017

It was a Sky Blue Mica Grand Touring w/tech package, just under 67,000 miles on it, good shape, no accidents or insurance claims. We haggled a bit then they offered me $13k for it, and 0% financing on new car. They really wanted my 2013, said the color made it more valuable.

    Upgraded from 2013 to 2017

I'd been debating this for a while. I've had my 2013 Grand Touring since 2012 and I loved it, but I really wanted to test drive a new one. Figured maybe now was the time to trade mine in at a good price. Saturday I went to look 2018s, they had a bunch of 2017s left with good incentives. Test...

    CX-5 Navigation acting crazy

My CX5 is doing something similar, so I came here to search and see if others have had this issue. I updated about 2 months ago when it first started, it was ok for awhile, and now it's started again, worse than ever. Multiple issues, including: (1) map shows the road jumping around (my...
