Keep an eye out on eBay, since the CX9 is not a very popular I was able to pick one up brand new for $150. Also the horn beep is very faint and quick, like the chirp when u lock the car but about half as strong and long. EDIT: sorry didnt realize this thread was 3 months old.

Same here! $300+ is the cheapest for the whole kit and that doesnt even include the switch! Its right there with BMW prices, the alarm retrofit kit for my convertible BMW is only $150 lol

the specific bulb u bought might be the issue. I replaced all bulbs in my wife's cx9 with leds and have not seen anything like that.

Where the rear AC controls are mounted to? if so, it clips on, open the center console, and pull gently from the edge of the bezel. I say pull gently because you dont want to pull so hard that when it comes off you rip the connectors off of the rear ac controls.

The wife drove the cx9 behind me for almost 1 hour today and not once was I even slightly annoyed by the HID kit I installed in her car. Monoxi did you get the slim ballast or regular? I installed mine the same way you did, all tucked inside the headlamp. Also my ebay kit is working much better...

Its probably the rubber guide for the window, even in my 2014 cx-9 the problem still exist where the upper corner window guide with time recedes into the window frame, causing a minute gap and visible deformation in the upper corner where the sound is coming from.

Which HID kit did you get? I just installed a 55w ebay kit and the light output seems about the same as the halogen bulbs lol

Yes no adapters or wiring required. Steering controls work 99% the same, the clock cannot be adjusted anymore.

I have looked at the back of both units when I considered doing this, and the 7" nav units have a lot more connectors than the regular units. If you check on ebay look for LQK's listing, they usually provide the most pictures and you should be able to see the differences yourself.

There is a 7.5amp fuse in the glove box that controls all that, that would be the first thing I would check.
