2012 Mazda 2 roller for sale aka great B-Spec car

Isn't that "flipper"? Rolled twice in one weekend at the COTA race meeting.

Always do your own testing whenever possible. The trick with the wider rims is that you can effectively run less air (more sidewall support). If you run both sets at the same pressures, you may not find much difference in performance.

The allowance for shock adjuster holes in the plastic inner trim panels (not steel body structure, though) is inherited from the Stock category.

    Mazda2 Wheel consideration thread

Of those, the RE11A is better for your purposes, IMO. That said, do consider the new Yokohama AD08R. That tire does everything well. See the recent Tire Rack testing of all the major extreme performance players.

"There were 2 cars in the B-Spec class, myself in a Mazda2 and two Honda Fits from HPD, Ambrose said." 1 + 2 = 2? :)

I always ran zero toe up front on the street, and then spun one tie rod one turn for events only (steering wheel will be cocked to remind you to put it back). That much camber combined with toe out on the street will prematurely wear your tires if you do much street driving. W/o the toe out...

Cosmetic only. Ignore it. As you wear them down, it will actually go away.

I may be selling my whole K-Sports setup. Wife wants the car back to soft OE suspension. She has a neck injury. PM me, if interested.

Sounds like you got the full experience, Derrick. Road America is a very special place. Curious...what setup change did you make to drop all that much time? PM, if you don't want it public. Or just general like "front toe" or something.

Watched the STL race this am on SpeedCast...as the race ended, Derrick came under the checkers alongside the 2nd place car for a seeming podium finish...except that the B-Spec car had just been lapped and was a lap down. Should make for some fun pics, though.

    Nationals 2013

This is correct. And the suspension had only just been put on the car prior to Nats. They were dialing it in on every run. True story. I worked the role of "pit reporter" for the announce team for this heat and it was great fun interacting with all the competitors. You really get to...

I'm not Andres, but I've done race seats in a 2...and a bunch of others cars. You can pretty much set the seat height anywhere you want it by building up the frame to suit. Flat-bottom seats are especially easy, as you can use square or rectangular box tube to build the base as high as you...

No worries. It's a bit of a pet peeve, as I see this urban legend repeated over and over on the web, when it simply isn't true. Heck, I should write to the Snopes folks about. :) Being a rulesmaker for SCCA for 20 years meant I had to be clued in on the reality, not the popular opinion.

Welcome to the club. I daily-drive my 2 and it is stupid fast in the twisties around my house, even on the OE tires. I have currently dialed it back from its championship-winning setup to something that my wife is more willing to tolerate on the bumpy roads in the city, and may be dialing it...

    My New STF project...

A tiremaker can put whatever number on the tire only so long as it does not exceed the result of the test. That's what the third line of your quoted text says. Note also that the extrapolation done (since the tires are not run to the wear bars), is by a specific formula, a list of which the...

    My New STF project...

Totally not true. Urban legend. Yes, there is some ability to fudge due to extrapolation since the tires are not tested to the wear bars. But to say it is "made up" is uninformed and furthers the urban legend. Read this. There is also nice write-up on the Tire Rack site in the Tech section...

    B-Spec ECU flash.

The other problem is the rev limiter. Flash raises it, while specs say OE rev limit only. That was one of the recent beefs with the Davis cars in WC. It's an approved part #, but the limiter is outside the spec. WC ruled no penalty because there was confusion.
