The resonance is still there when only one of the rear windows is open. With both rear windows open, or with any other one open window, that resonance goes away.
I got these on eBay. I find these very helpful when driving with windows just cracked open. They allow plenty air in, but without the usual in your face speed. Can also drive with windows cracked slightly open in the rain.
Not sure why I waited this long, but I finally pulled the trigger on the wind deflectors. Instructions were not the simplest to understand, but it was fairly straightforward. In the end, I think it looks sleak and they do their job well.
I put in new front pads today. It's been a while and I am commuting again (no more WFH), I think I am a bit overdue.
I did notice some grease around both of my drive shafts and now wonder if I need to do something about them? I haven't searched yet, but can this be done as DIY?
Well, its winter time! That means only one thing, the rear shock mount are gonna need to be replaced. I did the passenger side about a month ago and then the driver side went. This time round I decided to give the steel versions a try (Dorman 924-412HP). This is already my 3rd set. First...
Your 2012 Sport (like my 2013) did not come with a Bluetooth module. As theblooms mentioned above, you are much better off getting an aftermarket stereo and necessary adapters to retain steering wheel controls. Just save yourself the trouble and avoid buying the knockoff Android units. They...
If you are going to swap in the sway bar, you would need to use beefier end link as well. I got the OEM Mazdaspeed sway bar on my car. I tried different styles of end links and ended up with OEM-like links by AC Delco. The MOOG ones look beefier, but the installation process for MOOG is not...
Sorry to revive an old thread? But does anyone know the part number for 1st gen MS3 wheel center caps? I already got one set on ebay that didn't fit :)
This past weekend I finally found that tire busting pothole! I had a decision to make. Buy two new tires, or mount the tires on the new (used) wheels I got over the winter. I just had to put on my new wheels. She looks great. Now I am pondering whether I should leave the ride as is, or...
Yes, the pads still had something left in them, but after 9 New England winters, the brakes needed some attention. I would have loved to have enough time to clean everything and paint the calipers, but that will be something for another day :)
The OEM heated seat switches are mounted next to the cupholders. If you were to take this panel out and look on the other side, there will be markings for the holes to be removed for the switch installation.
Thank you so much for posting this. I will be doing the same in the spring. Already have some of the mounts. Where did you get your aluminum Ford mount?
Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I was looking as to why Koni changed the part number for the rear shock on 2nd gen MSP3. With regards to their STR.T product line, the first gen MSP3 and 2nd gen M5 share the same part number (8050 1140). For 2nd gen MSP3, the rear shock has a different...
I did this on my 13 Sport a little over 3.5 years ago. Not sure why I tied it to a 15A fuse. I believe it was the lowest fuse that was also always powered when the engine is running. I threw some zip ties at this setup, to ensure that nothing came loose and seems to be doing well. My dashcam...
I always refer to this site for questions like this. Wheel Offset Calculator
It seems that with 225 width and +50 offset, the tire will be about 1/3 inch closer to suspension and almost 1/2 inch closer to the fender. Overall tire height delta is practically negligible. Seems like you could be...
