I apologize , your 100% right it’s rpms that I’m referring to ,the most the rpms get to is 3500 and then it stops is that normal ,it doesnt seem to want to go higher ,or maybe it’s not supposed to . I try to get it on road and see if it drives normal as soon as I can ,thanks
My other concern is...
80 Kms is the speed in kilometres which is used in Canada, that is how high it revs when I apply my foot on the gas pedal while it is in park . Hope that answers your question ,thanks
sorry for late reply ,the car is a 2008 CX9, bought it used noticed no catyltic in center , they have an aftermarket work around cat there ,Ill get pic .The vehicle has 300,000 kms 🔧
Hi , my question is , when I rev engine while parked in drive the engine only revs up to 80 kms or so ,can anyone give me the reason why this might happen ,I notice that previous owner has something installed where catalytic converter should be ,do you think that could be the issue here ,thanks...
Changed fuse and everything is fine, thanks!
The main fuse is under hood, right side of engine, it can’t be taken out unless the 2 - 10mm bolts are unscrewed.
Hi, I charged battery and polarity reversed now car no start anymore:cry:. Any idea where to start to diagnose this problem. I obtained a good battery but no power to starter. Only lights that come on are dash speedometer. Thanks!
ya , I saw that thread, the problem is that my MC was totally drained so suspect air in there not sure how to bleed yet ,when bleeding front the pedal firms up but just slowly sinks to bottom of range , when bleeding and holding the pedal and opening the screw theres not much pressure...
you need to get the hammer out and build a little garage your car is starting to look like mine, white ,thanks for clarifying the torque numbers ,I was thinking that my torque wrench was in in-lbf but its in ft-lbf so my nuts were tight enough but I upped the poundage a bit see if it would...
It doesn't show the torque in-lbs for the intake manifold,I'm somewhat baffled,I think 16 in-lbf may be low for it.So I'm thinking that I'll'tighten it as much as I think it should be . If you look at the air ntake black piece it says 80in-lbf I would think that the Mani would be more than that...
need to know the intake torque{ in- lbf} for some reason it doesn't give me the info in my service manual that I downloaded from e manual site. Unless I'm not seeing something
sorry but nothing happened with the spay around ,the last time I started the engine it idled somewhat longer but still cutting out,Ill try to drive it but battery giving probs and brakes also so have to do some work ,never ends it seems
