    0w-20 GF-5 with moly discontinued?!

I ordered some up today. Next oil change is probably 6 months out but didn't want to deal with availability issues if the lubricant shortage rumors are true. I don't expect it to get cheaper regardless. Interesting Toyota TSB discussing mixing weights to make it go further at dealers. It...

    Oil Leak: Worth Worrying About?

    Oil Leak: Worth Worrying About?

While it never caused noticeable oil loss on dipstick.. I had the same leak and repair was replacement of rear main seal. It took 4 years to finally get Mazda to dig in and fix it on my '15 Here is my long thread https://mazdas247.com/forum/threads/small-oil-leak-for-me-too.123854976/

Cylinder deactivation reliability, issues and how it works?

No. I don't have a CD vehicle. Not sure what model year.. it was posted on Reddit thread at bottom of image. If one could find the part number for this solenoid they could start looking up '26 VINs online and see if that PN applies to that vehicle.

Cylinder deactivation reliability, issues and how it works?

Anyone confirm this method to bypass CDA from working? "other than a tune (which could have warranty issues), the computer will not turn on cylinder deactivation if the car is past due for maintenance as a simple safety measure. Therefore, setting a short oil maintenance mileage setting (eg 250...

CX-5 Jack points, Pinchweld Heights, Bottlejacks and Pucks

I'd love to have a lift, but there’s really no place at my current home where I could put one. I’ve thought about picking up a QuickJack, but it seems like the setup could be a little time-consuming. One of my nephews has one that he uses with his Porsche, so I should probably ask him about...

@Dotiri This was already posted in this thread but do you still have the latest oil filter you swapped out? If so, you really should open it up https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0F379FSQG

Need help, metal flakes in oil and oil burning

I'd probably drop the oil pan to see if oil pump pickup screen is starting to be blocked by this metal debris.

Need help, metal flakes in oil and oil burning

+1 @Snake I do extended changes as well that are often in the 6-7k range.... 80% freeway.. no noticeable oil consumption. Low oil level / pressure events, Contamination, Overheating or coolant mixing? A rod bearing failure thread...

    Thoughts on Mazda VSA Warranty?

I've come across a few posts elsewhere saying Platinum did cover it. I'd see if you could get something in writing that it would. They do say this for exclusion but a lot more going on inside than just the bulb. "Light Assemblies/Housingsand Light Bulbs including LEDs"

    Thoughts on Mazda VSA Warranty?

In all honesty I would probably purchase a genuine extended warranty on anything new today. If you can get it for a cheap enough price 1 or 2 repairs will probably pay for it with current shop rates. Looks like a Powertrain only VSA...
