Your welcome.
Most of my automotive experience is related to rust.
Working on a rusty turd sure sucks the fun out of working on cars.
There's not much satisfaction in putting a shiny new part on a rusty car. 😂
Check your neutral switch.
On my 5-speed P5, the computer needs to know when I'm in neutral so it can turn on the IAC to keep idle speed.
If I'm in gear with 0% throttle, the fuel injectors are shut off.
I'm not sure if that applies to the Mazdaspeed or an automatic though??
That's not the best idea.
It's the pivoting motion of the clevis that ratchets the self adjustment mechanism inside the rear brakes,..
It's the proper adjustment of the mechanism that sets the pedal height of your brake pedal.
If your rear brake adjustment is off, your brake pedal moves...
My car did that.
My parking brake cables were rusted and binding, and the clevis spring wasn't strong enough to retract the brake, so I added more spring pressure. 😂
Then I replaced the parking brake cables and I no longer needed the extra spring.
It's probably a good idea to replace...
