Did you guys jack up the front of the car to get to the fill and drain plug? Just asking because I'm not sure if lifting the car up would affect how the oil would sit in the trans.
I was told that, in my case, the stiffer trans mount transmits the higher vibrations so that is why you can hear it. I'm not sure why your whines? Maybe try changing the transmission fluid to a synthetic?
We got it eventually. We ended up taking of the bracket that attached to the transmission and were able to get it in place out of the car. Now I just need to another bolt because one got stripped because the mount wasn't lined up right with the body. Went to Mazda to get the bolt they ordered...
What is everyones opinion on the 2 quarts of Synchromesh and 1 quart of Lucas heavy oil stabilizer combo? I saw in a thread of people using it but aren't our trannys supposed to use 75w90? The Synchromesh does not specify a weight.
Is it safe to use the Poennzoil Synchromesh mixed with Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer in our cars? Isn't it designed for GM cars? I just bought 2 quarts of Synchromesh and 1 quart of Lucas heavy oil stabilizer and just want to make sure I don't mess up my transmission.
The only thing that I could find a how-to on was an Auto tranny flush. How did you get the fluid into the fill plug? The angle won't let you get a regular funnel? Your help is appreciated.
I just installed new motor mounts with the medieval mounts and now when I'm driving the engine whines. It sounds like it is From the transmission. Anybody else have this?
Does anyone have any tips on installing this? I got the mount in but cannot get the bolt going through the metal shaft to line up on the other side. My friends Dad and Grandfather tried at it for 2 hours and nothing. Tomorrow we're going to loosen the bolts on the transmission and see if we can...
Does anyone have any advice for me on installing the other three mounts? I just got them today so I'm hopefully going to install them tomorrow. Do I need to support the engine while doing any of these mounts? If so where? I heard a block of wood with a jack on the oil pan works? Please chime in...
I looked at the shop manual and I see that each side has two of them. Mine squeak real bad so I would like to change them. How difficult are these to change?
For the radar detector it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. You can get a Valentine 1 or a higher model Beltronics or Escort for around $500. You could also get a lower model Beltronics or Escort for around $300.
