Gabi, do research before you mod and you will be ok. Its just like the MSP. Both have bad reps due to dumbasses cranking up boost, doing crap without researching their own mods. I have yet to blow my motor in my MSP and I have ran 14-18lbs of boost on it on the stock tune & block for years...

Yep, and full catless exhaust with no fuel pump... your going to have a bad time. the 2.3 DISI motor likes to throw rod #3!

Fired up big bird for the first time in months... Started right up after a jump from a spare battery. Its pretty damn tempting not to take it for a spin around the block with no tag or insurance.

Yep, as everyone already stated your issue is the 2.0L.. that engine should never be an option I think. The 2.5L the perfect engine for the CX-5 with good fuel mileage. I do think they should offer a higher output with the AWD model but that's just me.

Yep, it's stuffed in the garage with no tag on it. Nothing wrong with it other than she was rode hard and put up wet and a needs a new battery to start. I've been going back and forth on getting rid of it. I haven't even started it in about 6 months other than to move it around the garage. BTW...

I have a 2015 cx-5 that already has 17k miles on it... I get bout 26mpg with 80% hwy. I did notice doing 80 kills gas mileage on these things. the sweet spot is right about 35-40mph and will get over 40mpg (according to the cluster). The CX-5 gets horrible gas mileage from 20-30mph, for some...

I thought about it but mazda needs to address the being in 4th or 5th gear between 20-30mph that causes the car to bog down. My 2015 already has 17k miles on it.

Good to see that this helped someone out! This leaks seems pretty common but not to many people dug into the car to figure out where the leak was coming from nor did they document it if they did.
