Bumping this thread as looks like Mazda is issuing a "Special Service Program" on some MY16 and 17 vehicles, that acknowledges this issue and will also extend the warranty for the fixes to 7 yrs

My Falkens are still going "OK" at just under 45k. Definitely replacing before the next winter, however. I was thinking of getting the LTX Defenders because of the higher warranty as well, good to see that handling is improved.

Yikes, that looks terrible, glad they fixed it for you. I got lucky on mine, but it's also because I've been servicing with them for such a long time. How many miles have you had with the replacement screen?

Couldn't get the solid blue light. Verified all my harness connections, then reset my module. Process went smoothly thereafter

Just a heads up, many Mazda run promos towards service. For me, it runs around 39+Tax for rotation, oil change and inspections. I know this is more expensive than doing it yourself but for me was worth avoiding the hassle while I was under warranty. I'll probably start doing it myself now

Came in to update all that I got mine to work successfully. Like many on here posted, it was bone easy to set this thing up in hindsight. It works so well, I am even angrier that Mazda couldn't implement this

Yup, there are two connectors under the dash (both white, adjacent to each other). I disconnected these two connectors from the vehicle harness and plugged them into the (2) T-harness spots. I then plugged in the the two connectors from T-harness into the slots under the dash (Basically working...
