I decided to bite the bullet and bought the car for $25,000. Good deal, maybe not great, but these things are rare, and one of the few cars that had all the features and performance I wanted. Now some quick pics I took with my phone:

The dealer wouldn't move from $25,500, saying they were already losing $500 on the deal. I told them they could do better than that, and if they weren't willing to work with me, i'd take my business elsewhere.

Did that the $6,500 includes the rebate?

Thanks everyone for all their input. I called back today, interestingly enough, they mentioned to me something about a rebate that was offered back in March, and that for this reason, the warranty for the car is already 3 months old. I guess they acquired the car from elsewhere, but it still...

Its black. My only fear is that this thing has been on the lot so long, its already 2 years old basically (even though there are no 09 speed6s).
