2024 CX-5 GS Ride Quality and Noise Levels

Hi everyone, Sorry into 2025 and reviving an old thread 🧵 😉 Purchased Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 tires in 235/65R17 size for my 2024 CX-5. I expected a squishy, soft and compliant ride that soaks up bumps and being quiet. But I had them installed today and was told it's set at 34 PSI. The ride...

Am I the only one happy with the OEM Toyo A36 Tires?

another Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 user here. I had no problem with A36 to be honest. Hydroplaned once on wet snow, but don't believe it was tires to blame. Switched anyway, Pirelli seemed to be more loud and flaky at first but I either got used or it was kind of a brake-in, now they seem silent.

2016~2023 CX-9 Adjustable rear camber arms?

...Like I think if I had slammed my car, it would have been an issue with the length. I the car on Ceika Coilovers on 285/45 r22's Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActives, so I guess the car is lowered, but i'm not sure by how much compared to something like the corksport springs, since I have a small...

...who goes storm viewing, wet traction / braking / hydroplaning resistance is everything. So the G91's need to go. I'm going to negotiate w/dealer on buying 4 new tires... >> Any tire suggestions? >> I hear good things about Continental Crosscontact LX25, and Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3. Thanks!!

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Regarding the Pirelli's, they are asymmetrical. There's an "inside" and "outside" orientation. I didn't know that and neither did the installer. Three of the tires were mounted incorrectly. Took them back and had them redone.

Still tire shopping for my 2021 CX-5, staying with stock size. Suggestions?

...of the name brand stuff, especially if there are rebates / deals going on so I ended up not considering the new RT45's. I have the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 tires on now and am extremely happy with them and they are a noticeable step up in overall performance over my old RT43's. The grip...

2024 CX-5 GS Ride Quality and Noise Levels

Ok yes I read Pirelli is quiet and smoothest but quality sucks. Maybe Continental CrossContact LX25 🥲 Thx 😊

Thinking of running 18 inch wheels

I did the Pirelli P Zero AS+3 / Enkei Triumph. Steering is much less heavy and is more accurate. Ride is just slightly less cushy than the Goodyears (great riding tires). Handling is very nice.

    Show me your CX-5 wheels

My 2025 CX-5 came with 19" wheels and the OEM A-36 tires. I began thinking of changing the tires when I learned that they were mediocre, confirming my on-road experience. Why spend the best years of your car's life with sub-par tires? Right. I hoped that a tire change would improve the heavy...

2024 CX-5 GS Ride Quality and Noise Levels

I had Scorpions (not sure which exact model) on a truck once and I was disappointed with them. They wore rapidly. :(

What tire feels similar to the Toyo A36?

I've never heard bad things about the Defenders, so firstly I'd check that the PSI is correct. I've also heard rave reviews about the Pirelli Scorpion AS+ 3's. I don't have any complaints about the Continental LX25's. If snow is of zero concern, I'd look at Pilot Sport 4 all seasons. They have...

Upgraded 2024 CX-5 Turbo Carbon Tires For A Staggering Improvement

Pirelli Scorpion Weatheractive, we live in an area prone to iced up roads and some snow, so the 3 peaks rating is nice. I can't say enough about how nice the ride is with these tires. Our friend has a CX-5 turbo as well, she put the ones that are just M&S rated and they are not quite as quiet...

Anyone try Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2 on a CX-5?

...the next set. If I didn't need to contend with snow or freezing temps but on rare occasions, I might well have gone with the Pirelli Scorpion AW Plus 3. All of the tires mentioned are available in the 225/65-17 sizing. Nokian AW02, Goodyear WeatherReady 2, Michelin CrossClimate 2...

Need tires for 2016 CX-5 Sport, Michelin - Defender2, any good?

I bought Pirelli Scorpion AS+3's from COSTCO and absolutely love them. I had considered the Michelin CC2's and the Continental LX25's but the spec's on the Pirelli's matched all my wants.

    Getting close for new tires

I've got a little over 47k miles on the OEM Toyo's (2021 CX-5) and I'm planning to go with Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3's when I replace them. I put them on my wife's Volvo XC-60 about 2-1/2 years ago and I am very pleased with them as far as performance in all conditions and tire wear. They have...

Thinking of running 18 inch wheels

I am in a similar situation to the OP. I would not mind a better ride, but I really would like the steering to be a bit less heavy/dead feeling. My initial move was to simply replace the OEM tires with a good all season tire, I chose the Goodyears with the tread pattern like the Michelin CC2. As...

Am I the only one happy with the OEM Toyo A36 Tires?

You will realize how bad they are when you slap the Pirelli's on.
