wow since you were first to respond... mine started leaking at the welds.. he offerd to replace/ repair my option.. witch is cool.. but didnt want down time.. so i pulled out my tig took care of it my self.... but now i have some free time im going to make my own..

correct.. this 16th or a little more of a gap will produce bad flow and cause cracking at the intake flange from vibrations.. anyway ill post pics tomrow.. comparing to other sheet metal intakes i have for other applications..
